Fireflies, scritta e prodotta da Adam Young, è frutto di una collaborazione con Matt Thiessen, benché la canzone sia nota a tutti come un brano degli Owl City. Una prima versione della canzone è stata cantata dagli Usignoli, ma nella serie televisiva di Glee non vi si accenna né tanto meno se ne sentono delle note.
Avrebbe dovuto essere presente in uno degli episodi della Seconda Stagione, ma è stata scartata persino in un primo abbozzo di una puntata della Terza Stagione.
