Allison (Ali) Beth Adler, born May 30, 1967, is a former writer and co-executive producer on Glee, co-creator of The New Normal, executive producer, co-developer and writer on Supergirl and an author.
Personal life[]
She was in a ten year relationship with Sara Gilbert before they split in 2011.[1] Their son, Levi (b. October 2004), was carried by Adler, and their daughter, Sawyer (b. August 2007), was carried by Gilbert.[2][3] They have joint custody.[1]
Adler is engaged to Liz Brixius, a creator of the Showtime series Nurse Jackie.[4]
Career[]
She joined the writing staff of Glee along with five other writers after the second season. The other five writers are Marti Noxon, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Michael Hitchcock, Matthew Hodgson and Ross Maxwell.[5] She left after the end of the third season to focus on her work on Ryan Murphy's new NBC series The New Normal, although The New Normal was cancelled after one season. She also was an executive producer in many other shows.
She is the executive producer, co-developer and writer of the upcoming Supergirl - which stars Glee actress Melissa Benoist.
Her book How To F--k a Woman was released in May 2015.
