Fire by Bruce Springsteen (The Pointer Sisters version) is featured in Home, the sixteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by April and Will at Rinky Dinks.
When the Glee Club's auditorium is taken away by Sue, Will finds it difficult to find a new home, so he seeks April Rhodes' help, coming across the Rinky Dinks Roller Rink. April excitedly suggests they should sing a duet together. During the performance, the New Directions could be seen roller-skating and enjoying themselves on the rink.
Lyrics[]
April:
I'm riding in your car
You turn on the radio
You're pulling me close
I just say no
I say I don't like it
But you know I'm a liar
April and Will (April):
Cause when we kiss
Ooh, fire
(Mmh) fire
Will:
Late at night
Ooh
April and Will (April):
You're taking me home
You say you wanna stay (I wanna stay)
(Will: I say I) wanna be alone
I say I don't love you
But you know I'm a liar
Cause when we kiss
Ooh, fire
Fire
April:
You had a hold on me right from the start
April with Will:
A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart
April and Will:
My nerves all jumpin', actin' like a fool
Your kisses, they burn
But my heart stays cool
Well, Romeo and Juliet
Samson and Delilah
Will:
Oh, baby, you can bet
A love they couldn't deny
April (Will):
My words they say split (Yeah)
But my words may lie (May lie)
April and Will (Will):
Cause when we kiss
Ooh, fire
(Uh-oh) fire
April with Will (Will):
You had a hold on me right from the start
A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart
My nerves all jumpin', actin' like a fool
Your kisses they burn
But my heart stays cool
Fire
(April: Our kisses like) Fire
(Will: Woah, ooh) Fire
(April: Love) what you're doin' now, fire
(April: Touchin' me with fire) (Will: Touchin' me)
Touchin' me, burnin' me
Take me home
Fire
(Will: Woah, ooh)
Fire
