I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles (Across the Universe version) is featured in Grilled Cheesus, the third episode of Season Two. It is sung by Kurt.

Kurt sings this song to express his love for his dad, who is in a coma in the hospital after falling victim to a near-fatal heart attack. While watching the performance, the New Directions are shown with very emotional exressions. Throughout the song, flashbacks of Burt and a young Kurt are seen.
