LaMarcus Tinker born as LaMarcus Rayshawn Tinker, in Houston, Texas. He is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as teenage football star Dallas Tinker on the NBC and Direct TV hit drama television show Friday Night Lights and as Kevin on the hit ABC comedy, Cougar Town. LaMarcus, just recently signed on to Fox, hit television show "GLEE", where he will play "Marcus" the new linebacker for McKinley High but more importantly, he will be the boyfriend of Glee feisty diva Mercedes played by Amber Riley.
He joined the cast of Friday Night Lights in September 2009 playing Dallas Tinker, a small town football player trying to make it, on the wrong side of the tracks. Even though, Tinker was from the wrong side of the tracks, he never let it consume him and he was just the opposite of his environment. Tinker, revisited his role as Dallas Tinker in 2010, while filming Season 5 of Friday Night Lights in Austin,Texas. Season 5, is set to air on Direct TV Channel 101 on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.[dated info] It will later air on NBC, in the spring/summer of 2011.
In August 2010, Tinker signed on to ABC's hit comedy Cougar Town, as a recurring character by the name of "Kevin". Kevin (Tinker) is the college roommate of Courtney Cox's son Travis, who is portrayed by actor Dan Byrd. Travis (Dan Byrd) is on a mission to reinvent himself in college but to his surprise his roommate, is not as welcoming to him as, he may have wanted. Kevin (Tinker) gives Travis a hard time at first but the two warm up to each other eventually.

Early Career
Tinker is currently Executive Producing two Independent Feature Films through his company LRT Productions, LLC, which teamed up with Greater Works & Sagemont Studios, to produce one of the films called "Down By The River" (Set for release 2012) & the other is called "Consequences" (Set for release 2011),in which Tinker teamed up with Wisdom Productions. Tinker's company in collaboration with the companies mentioned above are set to film (8 more feature films, over the course of 6 more years),.
