	Where Is Love? from Oliver! is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Hank and Sandy. During the performance, the Glee Club director Sandy inappropriately strokes Hank's stomach. Rachel watches from outside the choir room with anger because Hank had been given the solo that she believes she deserved. Rachel later reports to Principal Figgins and puts on an overdramatic scene, saying that Sandy was "caressing" Hank, which results in Sandy's termination and getting him banned from coming within a 50 feet of children.
	Respect	Mercedes Jones
	Respect by Otis Redding (Aretha Franklin's Version) is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Mercedes. Mercedes sings this song as her audition for the new Glee Club, New Directions, and impresses Will with her powerful voice.
	Mr. Cellophane	Kurt Hummel
	Mr. Cellophane from Chicago is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Kurt. Kurt sings it as his audition for the new Glee Club, New Directions, during which he hits a long, impressive high note.
	I Kissed a Girl	Tina Cohen-Chang
	I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Tina. Tina sings this as her audition song for the new Glee Club, New Directions. During the performance, she comically does a hip thrust for emphasis, very much to Will's surprise.
	One	Rhythm Explosion
	One from A Chorus Line is featured in the extended cut of Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Rhythm Explosion. It is featured in a deleted scene of Pilot, when Sandy was still the Glee Club director. The song is performed in a flashback after Rachel mentions that the Glee Club sucks following their mediocre performance of Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat. All students are seen dancing and holding a stool in this performance.
	Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'	Darren and Finn Hudson
	Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' by Journey is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by Darren and Finn. Darren is an Emerald Dreams lawncare worker who was Carole's former boyfriend. He introduces Finn to music by singing this song. Darren compliments him on his voice and this seems to be the point at which Finn first discovers his talent.
	You're the One That I Want	Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry
	You're the One That I Want from the film version of the musical Grease is featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by New Directions with solos from Finn and Rachel. It is sung in the auditorium for rehearsals after Will blackmails Finn into joining New Directions. Before they can finish, they are interrupted by Mercedes, because she doesn't like having to sing back-up. However, they restart because "it is the first time that they actually sound good."
	That's the Way (I Like It)/ (Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty	The Singsations
	That's the Way (I Like It)/(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty by KC and the Sunshine Band is a mash-up featured in Pilot, the first episode of Season One. It is sung by the Singsations, the 1993 McKinley High Glee Club. They win Nationals with this song in '93. In the pilot, Emma shows a recording of it to Will on her laptop to convince him to keep his teaching job at William McKinley High School instead of becoming an accountant.  It is later shown in a flashback in the third season episode Saturday Night Glee-ver.
	Le Freak	New Directions	Showmance
	Le Freak by Chic is featured in Showmance, the second episode of Season One. It is sung by the New Directions as a practice for the assembly. The Glee kids disapprove of the song with Kurt deeming it "really gay." Will, however, won't let them change the song as he misguidedly believes that everyone still likes disco.
	All by Myself	Emma Pillsbury
	All by Myself by Eric Carmen is featured in Showmance, the second episode of Season One. It is sung by Emma. After Emma catches Rachel trying to vomit in the girl's bathroom, Emma offers her counselling. Rachel asks if Emma has ever loved someone so much that she wanted to turn on sad music and cry. While glancing at Will, Emma denies that she has ever done such a thing. However, the next scene shows Emma weeping and mouthing the lyrics to All By Myself while sitting alone in her car.
	For He's a Jolly Good Fellow	Acafellas	Acafellas
	For He's a Jolly Good Fellow is a traditional song featured in Acafellas, the third episode of Season One. It is sung by the Acafellas. When Henri comes back from the hospital, he is depressed from losing both of his thumbs. Sandy initiates the song in what appears to be an attempt to cheer Henri up, and the others at the table join in with harmony. This song is when Will, Ken, Howard, Henri, and Sandy realize that they enjoy singing together, and the song spurs their decision to form a boy band, Acafellas.
	La Camisa Negra	Noah Puckerman
	La Camisa Negra by Juanes is featured in Acafellas, the third episode of Season One. It is sung by Puck. He sings a short part of the song while cleaning a pool.
	Don't Stop Believin'	New Directions	The Rhodes Not Taken
	Don't Stop Believin' by Journey is featured in The Rhodes Not Taken, the fifth episode of Season One. It is sung by the New Directions with solos from Finn and Quinn. The New Directions perform this song in the choir room while Will watches. They sing this song in preparation for their invitational. After the first few lines of the performance have been sung, Quinn experiences some morning sickness and runs out of the choir room, ending it prematurely.
	Cabaret	Rachel Berry
	Cabaret from Cabaret is featured in The Rhodes Not Taken, the fifth episode of Season One. It is sung by Rachel. She sings this while rehearsing for the school musical. Sandy, the director of the school musical, isn't happy with her performance. He constantly heckles her during it, telling her that someone more mature should be performing. Rachel states that Sandy yells at her in order to get her to drop out of the play, leaving himself to perform.
	What a Girl Wants	Rachel Berry	Mash-Up
	What a Girl Wants by Christina Aguilera is featured in Mash-Up, the eighth episode of Season One. It is sung by Rachel. She is accompanied by Puck, who plays the guitar. The two of them are coming up with mash-up ideas together at Rachel's house. Puck stops Rachel during the song and they end up having a make out session.
	McKinley, Hey!	Mercedes Jones	Wheels
	Mckinley, Hey! is the first original song written by Mercedes Jones. She sings it as audition for the Cherios and is then rejected by Sue.
	You're the One I Want	Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry	Hairography
	You're the One That I Want from the film version of the musical Grease is featured in Hairography, the eleventh episode of Season One, again performed by Finn and Rachel. Rachel wears an outfit similar to what Sandy wore in the original performance of the song in order to try and impress Finn. Once again the performance is stopped prematurely by Finn's objections to her clothing.
	When You're Smiling	Rachel Berry	Mattress
	When You're Smiling by Louis Armstrong is featured in Mattress, the twelfth episode of Season One. It is sung by Rachel. She sings a few lines in her mind, to try and keep herself calm and cheerful when Finn doesn't show up for the Glee Club Thunderclap photo as he earlier promised.
	And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going	Jane Adams Academy Glee Club	Sectionals
	And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going from Dreamgirls is featured in Sectionals, the thirteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by the Jane Adams Academy Glee Club. Jane Adams Academy performs this song because Sue leaked the New Directions' set list to the other teams, meaning that the New Directions cannot perform the song without being blamed of copying them.
	Proud Mary	Jane Adams Academy Glee Club
	Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival (Tina Turner version) is featured in Sectionals, the thirteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by the Jane Adams Academy Glee Club. Jane Adams Academy performs this song because Sue leaked the New Directions' set list to the other teams, meaning that the New Directions cannot perform the song without being blamed of copying them.
	Don't Stop Believin'	Haverbrook School for the Deaf Glee Club
	Don't Stop Believin' by Journey is featured in Sectionals, the thirteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by the Haverbrook School for the Deaf Glee Club. Haverbrook School for the Deaf perform this song because Sue leaked the New Directions' set list to the other teams, meaning that the New Directions cannot perform the song without being blamed of copying them.
	Hello Again	Will Schuester	Hell-O
	Hello Again by Neil Diamond is featured in Hell-O, the fourteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by Will. Will and Emma listen to this song on their first date. They agreed to make it "their song" because the song is about friends who decide to have a relationship.
	Fergalicious	Kurt Hummel and Mercedes Jones	Home
	Fergalicious by Fergie feat. will.i.am was supposed to be featured in Home, the sixteenth episode of Season One. It was to be sung by Kurt and Mercedes with the Cheerios to show that the Cheerios were using the auditorium to practice, hence why the New Directions couldn't use it. The song was recorded in the studio and filmed but was cut due to time constraints. The song was not released.
	The Climb	Rachel Berry	Laryngitis
	The Climb by Miley Cyrus is featured in Laryngitis, the eighteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by Rachel.  She begins this song in front of the New Directions, but when she starts to sing the high notes, her voice is unusually off-key (due to what is later revealed to be a bad case of tonsillitis). The Glee Club members seem startled due to this unexpected change in her singing ability. Will stops her mid performance to suggest that she has lost her voice. Rachel is horrified.
	Pink Houses	Kurt Hummel
	Pink Houses by John Mellencamp is featured in Laryngitis, the eighteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by Kurt.  In an effort to connect with his dad, Kurt pretends to take interest in things his dad is interested in. He sings this song while trying to act "masculine" in order to further connect with his father, whom he feels is slipping away from him. Mr. Schue criticizes it, as it isn't the right song to explain who Kurt really is inside.
	Daydream Believer	Bryan Ryan	Dream On
	Daydream Believer by The Monkees is featured in Dream On, the nineteenth episode of Season One. Bryan Ryan sings this song with the Singsations. While singing this, Bryan gives flowers to the girl using a magic trick. The girl's name is unknown. It was not released as a single.
	Piano Man	Bryan Ryan and Will Schuester
	Piano Man by Billy Joel is featured in Dream On, the nineteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by Bryan and Will. Will takes Bryan for a drink, and the two sing this song as Will wants to remind Bryan how much he loved the arts. Afterwards they agree to audition for Les Miserables together. Bryan first sung this song as a solo while competing as a member of The Singsations at Sectionals in 1992.
	Big Spender	Auditioning Woman
	Big Spender from Sweet Charity is featured in Dream On, the nineteenth episode of Season One. It is sung by a candidate auditioning for Les Misérables.
	Magic/You Raise Me Up	Aural Intensity	Journey
	Magic/You Raise Me Up by Olivia Newton-John/Secret Garden (Josh Groban version) is a mash-up featured in Journey, the twenty-second and final episode of Season One. It is sung by Aural Intensity at the 2010 Midwest Regional Championship.

	Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyoncé is initially featured in Preggers, the fourth episode of Season One. At the start of Preggers, Brittany, Kurt and Tina are seen doing the Single Ladies dance and filming it on a video camera until they are interrupted by Kurt's father, Burt. Later in the episode, when Kurt is trying out for the role of the kicker in the football team, he plays this song to help him focus, and kicks a field goal, thus becoming the kicker of the team. During the game, the entire team performs the Single Ladies dance and the crowd seems to enjoy it. They end up scoring a touchdown, due to the distraction the sudden outburst of dancing causes. With the help of the song, Kurt is able to make the kick for the game-winning extra point.
	Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing)	Sue Sylvester and Will Schuester	Mash-Up
	Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing) by Louis Prima is featured in Mash-Up, the eighth episode of Season One. It is danced to by Sue and Will. Sue is on good terms with Will because of the good mood she is in after she starts dating Rod. In return, Will helps her prepare for a swing dance competition with this number. However, Sue doesn't go to the competition after she sees Rod cheating on her with Andrea, which causes her to return to once again hating Will and the Glee Club.
	Ray of Light	Cheerios	The Power of Madonna
	Ray of Light by Madonna is featured in The Power of Madonna, the fifteenth episode of Season One. The song is not sung by any of the Glee cast; instead the Cheerios perform an elaborate dance routine to the song. Sue has returned from her suspension at this point and uses Madonna songs to inspire and empower her team.

Finn is the first to discover Sam's voice as he hears him singing in the shower, and following this, he attempts to recruit Sam for Glee Club. It was not released as a single.
	Getting to Know You	Tina Cohen-Chang
	Getting to Know You from The King & I is featured in Audition, the first episode of Season Two. It is sung by Tina while Mike dances to it. Tina falls for Mike after seeing his abs, and kisses him in the middle of the song. A boy at the camp takes a picture of the kiss with his cell phone. This was unreleased.
	Sailing	Will Schuester	Britney/Brittany
	Sailing by Christopher Cross is featured in Britney/Brittany, the second episode of Season Two. It is sung by Will. Will plays this song in the parking lot, while trying to impress Emma with his new car, which is the same as Emma's boyfriend, Carl Howell's car, only in yellow. He does this because he is jealous of Carl and wants Emma back. She rejects him when Terri shows up arguing about the car and expense issues.
	Conjunction Junction	Holly Holliday	The Substitute
	Conjunction Junction from Schoolhouse Rock! is featured in The Substitute, the seventh episode of Season Two. It is sung by Holly Holliday and three female students. A part of the song was sung during an English Class, with Holly singing lead. After she is done singing, Kurt asks her to substitute for the Glee Club because he thinks that she did so well in this song.
	My Funny Valentine	Tina Cohen-Chang	Silly Love Songs
	My Funny Valentine from Babes in Arms is featured in Silly Love Songs, the twelfth episode of Season Two. It is sung by Tina, but she is so overcome with love for Mike that she breaks down crying during the performance.
	Jesus Is My Friend	Aural Intensity	Original Song
	Jesus Is My Friend by Sonseed is featured in Original Song, the sixteenth episode of Season Two. It is sung by Aural Intensity. They sing it at the 2011 Midwest Regional Championship, under the guidance of the at-the-time director Sue. The song is intended to appeal to judges Sister Mary Constance, a nun, and Tammy Jean Albertson, a conservative Christian politician. A biased Tammy Jean Albertson thinks they should win, but Sister Mary Constance feels that Aural Intensity was "pandering" to the judges and that she did not care for it.
	New York, New York	New Directions	New York
	New York, New York by Frank Sinatra is featured in New York, the twenty-second epidose of Season Two. It is sung by the New Directions.

	California Gurls by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg is featured in The Sue Sylvester Shuffle, the eleventh episode of Season Two. It is danced to by the Cheerios at practice and is led by Quinn, Santana, and Brittany. The costumes pay tribute to Katy Perry's trademark blue wig and fire-sparking bra. The male members of the Cheerios ride BMX bikes and performed stunts in the background.
	Bubble Toes	Mike Chang	A Night of Neglect
	Bubble Toes by Jack Johnson is featured in A Night of Neglect, the seventeenth episode of Season Two. It is performed by Mike, who takes the opportunity to dance by himself without being overshadowed by any singing members of the group. During the performance, the Heckling Club attempted to heckle him, but were unable to since their mouths were too full with candy to speak. It was the second performance of the evening for The Night of Neglect Benefit Concert.
	Barbra Streisand	New Directions	Born This Way
	Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce is featured in Born This Way, the eighteenth episode of Season Two. It is danced by the New Directions. The dance number was filmed in the same location where Artie had his fantasy number of Safety Dance, in Dream On, the nineteenth episode of Season One. Kurt and the other New Directions members set up the scene to convince Rachel not to get a nose job, and like her idol, Barbra Streisand (whose name is lent to the title of the song), she is "one in a billion."

Planned Songs

• Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) by Christopher Cross was planned to be sung by an unknown character in Britney/Brittany. Source Source It was eventually sung in Season Six in the episode What the World Needs Now by the Alumni Men and New Directions Boys.
• Oops!...I Did It Again by Britney Spears was planned to be sung by an unknown character in Britney/Brittany. Eventually, it was sung in Season Four in the episode Britney 2.0 by Rachel Berry. Source

Season Three

	Big Spender from Sweet Charity is featured in The Purple Piano Project, the first episode of Season Three. It is sung by Sugar as her audition for the New Directions. This song/audition marks the first time that a person auditions for New Directions and doesn't make it because of their voice. The New Directions watch, haggard and pained, while Sugar draws out her performance with extended melodrama. The only exception is Brittany, who enjoys the performance.
	I Am a Shining Star	Shelby Corcoran and Sugar Motta	I Am Unicorn
	I Am A Shining Star is a song featured in I Am Unicorn, the second episode of Season Three. It is sung by Shelby and Sugar. Sugar is practicing with Shelby, but is completely ignorant of the fact that she sounds terrible. After a while, a frustrated Shelby stops her and begins to sing, asking if Sugar can hear the difference. Sugar, however, believes she sounds better than Shelby.
	Oklahoma!	Young Sue Sylvester	Mash Off
	Oklahoma! from Oklahoma! was supposed to be featured in Mash Off, the sixth episode of Season Three, but it got cut due to time constraints. It was to be sung by Sue in a flashback to her youth, when she still liked musical theatre.
	La Cucaracha	Artie Abrams, Finn Hudson, Noah Puckerman and Will Schuester	The Spanish Teacher
	La Cucaracha is a traditional song that is featured in The Spanish Teacher, the twelfth episode of Season Three. It is sung by Artie, Finn, Puck, and Will during Spanish class. This song offends Santana as she feels Mr. Schuester is perpetuating stereotypes, so she files a complaint to Principal Figgins.
	Chapel of Love	Hiram Berry and LeRoy Berry	Heart
	Chapel of Love by The Dixie Cups is featured in Heart, the thirteenth episode of Season Three. It is sung by Hiram and LeRoy. LeRoy and Hiram sing it upon entering the Auditorium after inviting both Finn and Rachel to meet them there. They only sing the chorus before having to stop because Hiram reprimands LeRoy for his vocal runs.
	She Walks in Beauty	The Golden Goblets	On My Way
	She Walks in Beauty, composed by Eric Barnum and set to Lord Byron's poem of the same name, is featured in On My Way, the fourteenth episode of Season Three. It is sung by The Golden Goblets at the 2012 Midwest Regional Championship.
	Don't Rain on My Parade	Rachel Berry	Choke
	Don't Rain on My Parade from Funny Girl is featured in Choke, the eighteenth episode of Season Three. It is sung by Rachel Berry Rachel performs the song as her audition song to get into NYADA. During her audition, everything went wrong, as Rachel forgot the lyrics twice, and thus, failed the audition.
	Always True to You  in My Fashion	Auditioning Guy	Props
	Always True to You in My Fashion from Kiss Me, Kate is featured in Props, the twentieth episode of Season Three. It is sung by an unnamed student at Carmen's master class. After the performance, Carmen's feedback is that it was "emotionally flaccid," feedback which is gratefully accepted by the student. After the boy leaves the stage, Rachel and Tina enter the room to confront Miss Tibideaux about giving Rachel a second chance.
	Starlight Express	The Portland Scale Blazers	Nationals
	Starlight Express from Starlight Express is featured in Nationals, the twenty-first episode of Season Three. It is sung by The Portland Scale Blazers. The champions of the 2011 National Show Choir Championship in New York sing this, as a part of their performance at the 2012 Show Choir National Championship in Chicago. The Portland Scale Blazers are singing Starlight Express on the stage on rollerblades, which eventually earned them 3rd Place in the National Showchoir Championships.

	Dang Diggy Dang by The Beatards is featured in The Spanish Teacher, the twelfth episode of Season Three. It is danced to by Brittany with the Cheerios. Santana and Becky did not dance, just doing some small moves at the Captain's table as they enjoy the performance. This is a performance conceived by Coach Roz Washington. Sue Sylvester is standing beside Coach Roz watching in annoyance at what she did with the Cheerios. She also watched Becky dance on the side lines with a horrified look on her face.
	Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)	Brittany Pierce, Burt Hummel, and Tina Cohen-Chang	Goodbye
	Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) by Beyoncé is initially featured in Goodbye, the twenty-second and final episode of Season Three. Burt performs the Single Ladies routine with Brittany and Tina as a graduation gift to Kurt in the auditorium as a reminder of what he did with Brittany and Tina in their old house's basement and how that event changed the relationship between Kurt and Burt. The scene flashed between Kurt dancing from Preggers, and Burt dancing.

Planned Songs

• Sugar, Sugar by The Archies was planned to be sung by Sugar Motta in Pot o' Gold.
• You Spin Me Round/Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? by Dead or Alive/Culture Club was planned to be sung by Blaine Anderson and Kurt Hummel in The First Time. You Spin Me Round was eventually performed by the Dalton Academy Warblers in The Hurt Locker, Part Two. Source
• America/Jai Ho by A.R. Rahman/Cast of West Side Story was planned to be sung by Brittany Pierce, Mike Chang, Noah Puckerman, Quinn Fabray, Rory Flanagan, Santana Lopez, and Tina Cohen-Chang as part of the cast of West Side Story in The First Time. Source Source 2
• Love The Way You Lie (Part II) by Rihanna ft. Eminem was planned to be sung by Mercedes Jones, Santana Lopez, and Tina Cohen-Chang in Choke. Source

	Sister Christian by Night Ranger, is featured in The New Rachel, the first episode of Season Four. Rachel overhears someone singing in the shower at 3am, when she is about to do her night-time rituals. Brody is in the shower singing this song. Rachel is surprised and intently watches. Brody then comes out naked and Rachel gives a mini grin, but quickly goes back to her ritual.
	Busters Get Popped	Stoner Brett
	Busters Get Popped is an original song featured in The New Rachel, the first episode of Season Four. It is sung and written by Stoner Brett. Brett auditions for the New Directions with this song. Ultimately, he is not accepted into the club.
	Ave Maria	Beatrice McClaine
	Ave Maria by Franz Schubert is featured in The New Rachel, the first episode of Season Four. It is sung by Beatrice. Carmen Tibideaux stops her from singing, right after one line, believing that she hadn't practiced enough over the summer. Beatrice claims that she had, but Carmen doesn't believe her, so she is expelled from NYADA. Carmen suggests that Beatrice should re-apply for the following semester. This leaves her extremely upset, and she is shown to be almost crying as she walks off the platform. This makes Rachel extremely confused and nervous and coincidentally, Rachel is called up next.

	Revolution	Tina Cohen-Chang	Tina in the Sky with Diamonds
	Revolution by The Beatles is featured in Tina in the Sky with Diamonds, the second episode of Season Five. It is sung by Tina.  After Tina is revealed to be one of the nominees for Prom Queen, she reveals her plan to ditch Sam and go on her own to improve her chances of winning. The New Directions look at her, agape, as she asks them all to vote for her.  Turning around and yelling "Hit it!," she begins the performance. However, about ten seconds into the song, the school bell rings, and everyone immediately leaves, leaving Tina appalled.

	Joy to the World by Traditional is featured in Previously Unaired Christmas, the eighth episode of Season Five. It is sung by Blaine as an unexpected number for the glee club after Will announces that Christmas is on.
