I just read your blog about you leaving, and I wanted to leave you a message saying goodbye. It's real nice having you here on the wiki as my friend and I'll be sad to see you go. I'm not sure about whatever drama has been going on in the wiki lately as I've been gone for a few weeks, but I can understand your reasons for leaving. I'd prefer if you stayed, but if you really want to go, I won't stop you. Good luck, Isa. *Hug* =(
Hey, I've seen you on the Klaine page a couple of times and you seem like such a nice person! You probably have seen me before, I hope so at least!
I've read you come from Germany and I have a question for you: Have you ever been to Berlin and if yes what is it like? :) I've never been in Berlin before and I don't really know to expect when I'm going there with school next week :$
Btw, you look a lot like someone I know XD My name is Sophie btw :3
Of course I've seen you on there, you're one of the more remarkable and recognizable people. It's so nice you wrote me a message - you seemed really nice as well, but I'm quite new around here and pretty shy... barely approaching people, you know. ;)
I don't live that close to Berlin, basically on the other side of the country - but you're "lucky" if that expression is applicable ;) - I've only recently been to Berlin about six months ago. I went there on a trip with my class 'cause we're graduating right now. :)
Right now, I envy you because you get the chance to go there next week - it's an amazing place. :o I come from a really small town, so at first, it simply looks huge, there are more than 5 million people living in the city plus lots of tourists. But as soon as you get out to explore a little, it's incredibly fascinating. :) You can basically meet all kinds of people if you just get on one of the subways or trams and the different quarters of the city are also very different. There's the more posh parts but also very poor ones (although you probably won't see much of those two - the tourist quarters are different ones ;) ), there are parts of the city where lots of people work in jobs conected to arts, for example - and you can see that immediately when you exit a subway station. I really, really liked that. :)
There's also a whole lot of things to do, so if you've got free time, you will always find something interesting for you. :) (If you want to, you can tell me what you're interested in and maybe I can tell you some things and places you might like. :) ) We went to several museums, to the Friedrichstadt Palast (I don't know if you heard about it, but it's a place where they show revues - big shows with live music and lots of dancers - I loved it! ;w; ) or just shopping because there are lots of great stores and malls. :)
...I'm trailing off, I know. :D I just loved it so much there. :) So, as I said - if you want to, you can give me some information about you so I can concentrate on things that you find important. :) And if not, you can still write me just to chat, if you want to - I always like to meet new people. :) (You can mostly reach me on chat when I'm online or just via message wall. :)
Hope to hear from you! :)
(Oh, one more thing. I might not reply anymore tonight as I'll go to bed soon - I've got an important final exam tomorro... :/ But afterwards, I'll be online - in the afternoon or at latest in the evening. I'll reply then, pinkie promise. ;) )
Hey! Aaaw, thank you! I always feel like nobody ever notices me, but I guess I'm wrong <3 It was hard for me in the beginning too, but as soon as I went to the Klaine page, everything became better 'cause everyone is so nice over there <3 I was shy too, but as soon as people will talk to you more, you'll get out of your shell quick enough. IMO, especially Mia387 and TaeInTheSky are two little cupcakes, you might wanna talk with them too :)
I love big cities, so I'm pretty excited to go to Berlin :) We won't have that much free time though, which is really too bad :$ But I'm glad to hear that Berlin is a nice city :D
Well, about me: I'm a 15 year old girl from the Netherlands <3 I love chocolate and sushi and cats. And Klaine of course ;) I am straight and haters upset me 'cause I'm an emotional girl. Most people say I'm sweet (online) but people in real life hate me because I'm different :/ I love singing, dancing and acting and it's my goal to become an movie actress someday! Do you want to tell me more about you? <3
Of course you'll hear more from me :D I always leave messages for a reason, you know <3 And my reason is to get to know you better 'cause you're cute <3I'll see you tomorrow, also pinkie swear <33
Yeah, it's getting better. ;) I'll be fine, I'm just a little dramatical and exaggerating... and I already know some people - including Tae. :D
Ah, you can really experience great things with just very little free time because you can go to a completely different place by subway in a couple of minutes. Even if you've got one hour, we didn't have more most of the time either. :) Just sit down somewhere or go to a nice café or something, there's always something to see. The Alexanderplatz for example is always crwoded with people and there's plenty to do. :) In which quarter of the city are you staying, do you know that?
Okay, as you already know, I'm German and my name's Luisa. :) I've turned 18 some weeks ago and currently I'm finishing school and I'll start to attend university come fall - pretty exciting. ;w; And don't worry, I know emotional people and get along with them very well usually - I'm that way myself. ;) I can cry at the smallest memory and everything.
As you may have figured, when it comes to Glee, I absolutely adore Klaine and especially Kurt. :) But I like pretty much every character, so no problems there. :) I'm much of a dog person, but I like cats as well - as long as it's someone else's. :D My favourite food's a special soup my dad makes and basically every kind of cake, cupcake or cookie - I love to cook and bake. Next to everything music related - I play some instruments in school bands and am in a choir and I used to dance <3 - it's my favourite hobby.
I know the feeling of being hated on because you're different, I feel with you! <3 I used to experience that, too when I was younger - nobody was used to people like me. But it gets better as you get older, believe me! :) Just don't let people define you - be proud of yourself, they'll have to accept it. ;)
Good luck with becoming an actress! :) I for myself have a different dream, I'll be a teacher when I'm finished with college, maybe one for kids with special needs. :)
You're cute yourself, you remind me a little of my younger sister who I love to pieces. :) <3 She even is your age. ;) And thanks for wishing me good luck, it helped - my exam went pretty well and I got the subjects I wanted to do. ;)
So, how has your day been so far? Looking forward to hear from you, either here or on chat. :)<3
I'm glad to hear that it's getting better <3 It took me two months or something to feel comfortable on the wiki, especially because of all the hate going on in the episode pages :$ I'm also pretty dramatic so we have that in common :D I'm also glad to hear that you've already met some people, I was this friendless person for a looong time XD
True. But we'll have some free time in a mall so we'll probably just go shopping over there. And we're going to Potsdam, but I'm not quite sure if we'll get any free time there... But these are the things we're going to :) Eastside gallery-Sachsenhausen- Potsdam- Hohenschönhausen- Bowling :3333- Judisch Museum- HBF (?)- KaDeWe mall- Cinema :3333- Mauer Museum- City-Bike tour- A boat trip :)) Mmmh, we're staying in a hostel and not really close to a quarter or a squere or something like that...
Aaaah, you're name is so pretty :3 I love it! Congrats, even though your birthday was some weeks ago XD What are you going to study at the university? Same, I sometimes cry because of the smallest things and when I think about really bad things :$
Yay , Klaine <333 Me too, although I've never really liked Puck, Unique and Mercedes :/ But I never hate on them, 'cause that's lame XD I'm like one of those people who can't choose between Blaine and Kurt, I love them both equally <3 I love baking too, I've made this three layer cake with marzipan and stuff on it and it was soooooo yum <3 What instruments do you play? I can play the recorder and the saxophone :3
It's like you have to be this perfect and arrogant b*tch and drink/smoke to belong in society nowadays.... But I'm just not like that :$ Aaah, it suck that you felt like that too <3 Fortunately, I have the most amazing friends/hockey team/ so I never feel alone <3 Glad to hear, it'll become better -,-' Yay, thanks <333
Thanks! It'll be difficult but I'll go for it :D That's so amazing, too bad I'm not the teacher type... I don't have enough patience XD
Thanks, that's so sweet <3 I'm glad to hear that your exam went well :3
I'm exhausted... I had a hockey game and a 3.5 hours rehearsal of my play :$ And all of that with a headache, stomach ache, sickness and being tired... But it'll be ok :3 How was your day? :D
Ah, I'll make it, I always have adapted to places somehow. ;)
The malls in Berlin are great. :) If you get to choose one, go to the Alexa at the Alexanderplatz, it has great stores and it's fast to reach, only a few meters from the subway station. And I like the places you go to, some of them are really impressive. o: The Eastside Gallery is nice and you're lucky you get to see it - they discuss to tear it down somewhen soon. :/ Sachsenhausen and Hohenschönhausen are also very interesting places to go, I was told. (And "HBF" simply means Hauptbahnhof which is the central train station. Might also be the old one, where they used to separate the East and West German people. If it's that, I've been there, too. :) )
By "quarter", I only meant the part of the city you stay in. ;) There's lots of those, like Prenzlauer Berg, Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Wedding, Friedrichshain, Mitte... I can't get all of them together. :D We stayed in Prenzlauer Berg when we went to Berlin. :)
When I go to university, I'll study biology as it is my favourite subject by far. :) The other one is yet to be decided, I'll either do chemistry and teach those two subjects later or I'll do special needs education. If you intend to become a special needs-teacher, you only do one "school" subject. :)
Woah, a three layer-cake sounds impressive. :o I usually only make smaller stuff, except for birthdays. But last week, I made whoopie-pies and those were delicious. ;w; I got a book with recipes for all kinds of coffee shop-pastries for my birthday, so I'm still trying those out. :)
I play the flute pretty well (been playing for more than ten years. ;) ) and some guitar, but that is self-taught. I'm also a part of my school's big choir, which is a whole lot of fun, too. :3 I love singing, even though I'm not as good at it...
Yes, I know society pressures especially younger people a LOT. We always had those popular kids who got drunk every weekend, but that never was me. Didn't even try it. And I'm so glad you hear you have such good friends to support you. :)<3 That makes everything so much easier. :) I've also found me some really good, best friends who can handle the way I am - see, we might not be this 'usual', but there's still people like us. ;)
Oh my, a hockey game and such a long practice while being sick. :x I feel for you, I've been through that last week. I had lots of exams over the last weeks and after the last one, I fell sick and had to study for the one today anyways... :b So, be well again soon, I keep my fingers crossed for you! <3
My day was pretty great, after the exam was over. ;) I met up with my friends because we work at church together - we had a preparation meeting for a summer camp for younger children. ;w; So we did some crafting to try things out we might do while we're in that camp and afterwards I had really delicious food to celebrate my last exam with my family. :3
Yay! Too bad we can't pick one ourselves, we have to stay in KaDeWe :$ Perhaps I can convince my parents to go to Berlin soon so we can do some other stuff than just going to museums and stuff XD They want to tear it down? That's such a shame, it's part of Berlin's history! They can't just do that 0.o Mmmh, I'm glad I'm going to impressive places then XD Oooh, that's what HBF... Yay, I can't wait :D
Oooooh, I didn't really know what you meant by a quarter, I thought it was some kind of square XD I don't know where I am, gonna look it up... Woooow, those are a lot of quarters, dunno where to find where I am... Ah, I'll be Friedrichschain :D
Biology is also my favorite subject 0.o I love biology <3 Well, I also like chemistry (#2 favorite subject :3) so I like your university choices ;) Mmmh, do you already know if you want to do chemistry or special-needs education thing? :)
I worked for 4.5 hours on that cake -,-' I loved it though, it was yum yum :D I usually make cupcakes, but I wanted to try something else for a change :3 CUPCAKES <3 What are whoopie-pies, it sounds so cute <3
I also want to play guitar! We have an old one at home, but the strings sound weird so I can't use it... You have a school choir, I'm so jealous! I wish we had one (I guess it's not like the New Directions? XD) but we don't :'( I'm not the best singer either, my voice lacks power. But I love singing, that's why I took some lessons :3
True, I feel judged by everyone everyday :$ I don't like it, but well... That, most of the people in my dance classes go out every weekend and get drunk :$ But I don't really feel like wasting my time on that :3 My friends are awesome!! I love them so much! <3
Yeah, it was tough... Ooooh, I hope you did well! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too!! :3
I'm glad you had a nice day :D You work at church: I guess you are a christian? (I don't have a religion, please don't hate me :/)
KaDeWe isn't bad either, probably one of the most famous malls in all of Germany. ;) And it's huge, they sell basically everything, even camping equipment and such stuff. o.O They even shot movies in there and a children's book I own is largely based there. :D So I guess you'll still enjoy it anyways. :) And yes, they discussed to tear the Berlin wall down... :/ I don't even know why. It still is a symbol of our past and a very important part of German history.
Remember Hauptbahnhof. ;) That way you'll always get right to Berlin's middle and every person there can tell you how to get there. It's also a good place to go if you get lost. ;)
Aw, Friedrichshain is nice. :) And it's basically next to Kreuzberg which is a great place - I loved it there and it has awesome cafés. Before I forget it - try some Currywurst when you're in Berlin, it's really good and you get it quite cheap there. Some of us already went to have one at the very first evening. ;) Friedrichshain is also pretty much of what they call a "scene" quarte, you're gonna like it - it's one of the inner city parts, you get everywhere really quick.
Yay, someone else who likes science as much as me. :) I think it's incredibly interesting, so I'm really looking forward to fall - the university I'd like to go to has a huge laboratory. ;w; Nah, I haven't decided which one I'll do, but I'll go to the uni next month and try both of it - you can visit lectures to see what you like better and talk to students there so I hope that's a help for my decision. :) I don't have to decide until June, so there's at least some time left.
I do believe your cake was yummy, it sounds awesome. :3 Whoopie-Pies are two little cakes, often with chocolate that are - well, glued together with a cream made of marshmallows, powdery sugar and butter. I made them for my little sister and her friends when she had her birthday party and she liked them a lot. :) http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5038/5858997142_81fb742fda.jpg This is about what they looked like, but the cream had a a lighter colour as I didn't put as much cocoa in it. :)
Maybe you could try to tune the guitar? If it is out of tune, it won't sound good, no matter how well you play. :x And yes, choir is awesome, I love it! :) No, we're not like New Directions. :D We usually have three to four part-harmonies, not as difficult as their songs and we don't dance that much. It simply wouldn't work as we're more then fifty people - the stage is already filled when we stand. :D But right now we do "You're The One That I Want" from Grease and we've got some choreography inspired by the dances in the movie. ;w; I'm really excited for our concert next month. :)
See, as long as your friends stick with you and you agree with them, everything's fine. :) Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's a good or right thing to do... so you're actually more intelligent in that way. ;) Stay with your friends, I think they surely are great.
I think it went well. :) I got lots of questions on organic chemistry which I like best and most of it was related to acids.
Yes, I am a Christian, but I won't judge you because you're not. :o I'm not like that, believe me. I do believe, but in my own way - and I believe people can believe and be what- and whoever they want. :) I don't think it's right to judge people based on their sexuality either... To me, religion is more the idea that everybody is loved by god 'cause in the end, they are all connected to him no matter who they are or how they choose to live. Justifying racism with the concept of religion is just against this belief so I don't do it...
That's also what I like about the people at my church: We've got gay people working there, people of all ethnicities and also people of different religions or with no religion at all. :) They're totally accepting.
And my dad is an atheist as well and I don't care, so I won't think less of you for not believing. :) And I won't try to convince you of anything either, don't worry.
I'm so sorry for my late response! I wanted to respond earlier but the site didn't work for me for some reason...
Is it that big?! I already went to the site of the mall and I saw that they sold all of those expensive brands like Chanel and stuff so I assumed that it was like Lafayette in Paris :$ Or do you also have some affordable brands over there? They shot movies there, that's so cool! Perhaps I can recognize it from a movie then ;) Hmmm, I'm not even German myself but I think they can't tear down the Berlin Wall just like that. It's like destroying the Eiffel Tower or the Colosseum :(
Ok, good to know :D I don't think I'll get lost because I also read the map when I went to Paris, but it's always good to know a main place where you can go :3
So it's the inner city- good to know, that means we don't have to walk that far every day! and the inner city always looks better than the outskirts of a city. And I will try it! I've never had it before but now you've said that I have to try it, I became curious :D
I love science <3 Biology is just the best subject ever and chemistry is also awesome and interesting :D Physics isn't that great IMO because my math sucks, but I always manage to get good marks :3 I would be so excited if I was about to go to university in a couple of months, it just seems so awesome to me! I think I'll like it more than high school, I can't wait to get out of here :/ Aaah, well good luck with your decision and I hope you make the right one ;)
But.... THOSE PANCAKES LOOK SOO GOOD! I think I know what I want to make this holiday :D I just made some brownies with dark and white chocolate and I can't wait to eat them... They are soo delicious :33
Mah, I already tried to tune it but the strings are too olded. They are stretched or something like that and now you can't play on them anymore :'( It sucks because I was so happy when I found out we had a guitar at home... Thought so. Your school choir sounds fun too! I wish we had a school choir....
Yeah, my friends helped me through some pretty hard times in my life, even though they don't really realize it themselves. With the help of my friends, I will be fine <3
Aaah, I'm glad to hear that! I always think I ruin my tests but then I always get a good mark. I think I have some kind of performance anxiety...
Thank god :) (wrong word choice, sorry XD) People with a religion can be pretty scary sometimes so I'm always a bit careful when I find out someone is a christian etc. I know it doesn't make any sense but I'm always scared that people will jell at me when they find out I'm an atheist and will be like OMG YOU PEASANT YOU WILL GO TO HELL!!! BUURRRRRN! I know it's wrong to think that but yeah.... But I'm glad you accept me for who I am <3
Aw, don't be sorry. :) I wouldn't have read it earlier anyways, I slept for such a long time today because I went to a little café yesterday evening. Me and my friends are all done with our final exams so we had to celebrate for a bit and... well, we stayed a little longer and I fell asleep like Sleeping Beauty and didn't wake up until three this afternoon. ;)
I've never been to Paris, but it might somehow be similar to La Fayette... but I'm not sure. A few of my classmates went to KaDeWe and they said it also had affordable brands so maybe you'll find something. Or you take a small stint to a souvenir shop or something, those even are in the bigger train stations. (Like HBF. ;) )
I know, it would be sad if they took the Eastside Gallery down. :/ It's not only history but the paintings on there are also kind of valuable to a lot of people and they're even pretty good, in my opinion. That would all be gone... :x
Good to hear you don't get lost easily, then you shouldn't get in trouble in Berlin. :) The maps always show train- or subway-stations near to the places so it's quite easy to get where you want to go. But the HBF is still a good place to go to if you want to see something special, it's right in the middle of the city. :) Makes it easier to reach all different parts of the city because almost every tram- or subway line crosses there at some point.
Yes, try currywurst. :)
(That was one I had when we couldn't find a restaurant everybody could agree on. ;) That place was also in Kreuzberg, very close to where you'll live!)
Same for me, I don't like Physics that much as well. :D I know what you mean. Still, biology and chemistry are great and I don't regret making those my "important" subjects for my finals. :) (When you enter the last two years of school here, you can put a focus on a certain group of subjects - languages, social science or science. :) And mine is science with the main subjects biology and chemistry - that means the points you get in these two count twice as much as those from other subjects and you also have to learn more difficult things than others, kind of an advanced course. :) ) And I'm already sooo excited for university! :o I'll be living with a good friend if the university I'd like to go to accepts me and from what I got to know, it's really different from school... so, yes, I can't wait right now. ;w; And you'll make it, I'm sure. I remember that I always felt like you, as if school would never end, but that happens faster than you can imagine right now. ;)
Oh, double chocolate-brownies sound awesome. :o Enjoy them! :) I can also give you a recipe for those pies I made if you want me to. :)
Ah, okay. If the strings are broken it won't work, that's right. But if you really want to learn it, maybe you could get yourself some new ones? Some that aren't as expensive for the start. I had some plastic ones when I started, they don't hurt your fingers as much as ones made of steel.
That's great. :) I feel the same about my friends, they've always been there when I needed them. ;w;
Same for me. :D We had some kind of preparations-exams for the finals, exams under the same conditions and when I was done with all of those, I felt like I had totally messed up but in the end, I got the best marks I had ever had in those subjects. Weird. :D Maybe you could talk to someone if you always get that anxious? :o
Yes, I know that lots of christians get really extreme in their belief... :x I get that you're careful, it's okay. :) But believe me, I don't befriend people based on stuff as religion - that's probably the last thing I care about when it comes to friendship. Like, I have a gay best friend and I wouldn't even be allowed to talk to him if I did anything just because it's written in the bible. :D Lots of that is ancient history and doesn't apply to today. So, as I said, don't worry. :)<3
I didn't read it before I went to Berlin, but thank you anyways! <3 I looooooved Berlin!!
Haha, lol XD I'm so happy for you that the exams are over! I will be stressing out at the time that I have my exams (I have to wait for three more years :$) I'm glad to hear that you had some fun afterwards, to relax a little bit :33
It was sort of the same as La Fayette. It was really expensive in KaDeWe so we left after only five minutes and we shopped elsewhere. I found a nice shoe store where I bought a new pair of shoes! I love them :3 And I bought some souvenirs for some friends. And I friend of mine who went to Berlin with me bought this ring for herself but she didn't look at the sizes so she bought one which was waaaaaaay to big for her. She gave it to me so now I have a cute little free ring <3 It has a bowtie on it :333
It wasn't hard to find my way in Berlin! The parts we went to were pretty close to each other and I already knew where everything was after two days. But that was only because I have a good sense of direction and I recognize everything I came across :3 There were some buildings and places where we went to every time like the HBF and the Potsdamer Platz and from those points it was pretty easy to find your way.
I tried the currywurst, I loved it!! :DD
I have to choose my subjects this year and I'm gonna choose biology, physics and chemistry as well. First I wanted to choose other subjects like social sciences and art and that kind of stuff, but I decided not to (I also chose geography because I had to and I have history as extra subject). That choosing thing is the same in the Netherlands, only here you have four kinds of groups of subjects you can choose from (C&M about culture, E&M about economy, N&G and N&T about sciences, only N&T has a more difficult kind of math. I chose N&G :)) I dunno, I feel like I have so much time before I graduate. It feels like ages, and I don't really like high school 'cause I don't fit in -,-' But I hope it will go a little faster as you said...
They were pretty awesome :33 And I'd love to have the recipe!! <3
Yeah, perhaps I can! My singing teacher always plays the guitar when I have a lesson, perhaps he knows where I can buy some strings or perhaps he can put some new ones on it! I'm gonna ask him right after the holidays :3
Well, I had this German listening test and I thought I messed up and I did :3 I got a 4.8, which is comparable to a 5 or a 6 in Germany -,-'But for the rest of the subjects I always get good marks. But I don't understand that I always have the feeling I ruined it.... I don't know, it's not important enough to talk about I think. It doesn't really affect my marks, I only stress a lot every time I have a test. It sucks but I get good marks so I guess it's ok :3
Welcome back! :) Glad you loved Berlin - I can surely understand where that comes from. ;) <3
Oh, you'll get used to those big final exams. :) I only was really, really nervous the night before the first exam, but it got a lot better afterwards - it turns into some kind of weird "routine", you'll see. Don't be scared yet, you've got time. ;) And yes, I had so much fun since the day of my last exam - I'm going out to dance tomorrow, I'm so excited already. ;w; All my friends come along, we haven't done that in months 'cause everyone was so busy studying.
See, Berlin's got stores for about everything. ;) My two best friends also bought shoes when we were there, they even wore them when everyone went to a little bar on the last evening. I only got souvenirs as well, I bought a shirt for my little sister and postcards and such stuff. :D And photos. LOTS of photos. :) Yay, you've got a Klaine-ring now, basically. ;w;
I know, the central parts are really well connected - you can't really get lost. :3 And I know what you mean, I've got this thing for orientation as well. Seen a place one time - I remember it. That is indeed useful. ;) We also had those places we went to everyday - for me it was Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße and so on, you really get to know those places.
Did you ike the sights you went to? You gotta tell me about it, I'd love to hear. :3 And yay for Currywurst! ;w; It really is delicious - you can get that almost everywhere around here, but the best one I ever had was the one in Berlin.
Biology and chemistry are amazing, I think that's a great choice if you already like those. I really enjoyed it over the past two years, it was a good decision in the end. :) But before, I couldn't decide... I went from doing the language focus to social sciences, back to languages. then to science - and the day before we had to make the final decision, I decided on biology and chemistry. ;) We've got what you call N&G and N&T too, science includes chemistry, biology, phsyics and maths as well, so I guess that's pretty similar. You can either choose two sciences or maths and one science. :) (High five for N&G ;) )
It's okay if you don't fit in... you're gonna make it through, I believe in you. :) I've always been an outsider, I never really belonged anywhere in school - but it got better when we chose classes because I was among all those people who were strange science-nerds like me. ;) Maybe it'll help you as well. <3 And as long as you got your friends, you'll be okay in the end. :)
I'll send you the recipe tomorrow, alright? :) I don't have the book here right now, a friend borrowed it but when I get it back, you can get it for sure.
He'll probably know if he plays himself - if he doesn't, you can buy strings on the internet as well. :) When you only get started, you can go with some cheaper ones, they do it for the beginning. And he'll probably know how to change them, it's not that difficult. Just have a look at how the old ones are put one, the technique is pretty much the same. :)
Oh well, if you mess up from time to time, that's not as bad. Happens to everyone. ;) I know that feeling, too - I mostly do pretty well on exams, yet I'm always frightened and sure I messed up afterwards. But you're right, if it doesn't affect you in any negative way, you don't have to talk about it. Maybe you can try to balance the stress out and do something nice after the exams - that's how I do it. :) Too much stress makes me sick and I start to loose my hair and stuff, so I try to not let that happen. ;)
I'm so happy to hear you had a great time, good to have you back! :) <3
Of course I loved Berlin, I just love cities in general <3 But Berlin is in my top-5 of favorite cities I went to right now :3
Meh, I hope so :$ I had this English exam from Cambridge two weeks ago and I couldn't really sleep the day before. And it doesn't even count as a real exam, it was just as an indication of how good my English is so I can't even imagine how I will be when I have my final exams ;P I think I know what you mean with that routine, it's like a test week: you are really nervous for the first test but then after a while you get used to it and the tests aren't that bad anymore and the week will be over really quickly. If it's like that, then I guess the exams won't be that bad :D Aaaaaah, that's so nice, I hope you had fun <33 I'm enjoying my 2 weeks of holiday right now :3
Yeah!! I even found a couple of creepy gothic stores somewhere XD And I also found this yummie candy store and a lot more :3 And the chocolate in Berlin is cheaper than it is in the Netherlands, a Milka bar in Berlin was 0.89 cents whereas in the Netherlands one bar is 1.20 0.o (K, that was random XD) A Klaine ring.... I didn't even think of that 0.o I love it even more now :3
Yeah, that was one of the things I liked about Berlin, I couldn't get lost that easily. There is this small village near my home town which I've known my whole life and I still get lost in that place because of the small streets which all look alike. Whereas I didn't when I walked on the streets of Berlin. I've walked on the Friedrichstrasse a couple of times :)
I loved the things I saw in Berlin!! The East Side gallery was just gorgeous <3 We went to Sachsenhausen which was a concentration camp and I was sad the entire time. I felt so strange when I walked around there and the idea that so many people died over there was just so depressing :$ I also went to Potsdam, which was a nice town where a lot of Dutch people lived 50 years ago (or something like that) there was this huge palace over there and it was just gorgeous <3 I've also seen Hohenschonhausen which is a former jail during the Cold War. The stories which were told by our guide were just digusting... I couldn't believe that people could treat each other so badly :'( We also did a walking tour with a guide in the city with a guide who could only speak German XD And I didn't understand a single thing he said which is pretty pathetic for a Dutch girl :33 We also went to a Museam about Jews. I didn't really like it, I usually only like museums with art :$ We also went to the Mauermuseum and I loved it because our guide told us all kinds of things about how people escaped to West Berlin. And we've done this city tour by bike which was one of my favorite things to do :D We've also done a boat trip. It was cold on the water but I didn't mind :3 And of course I went shopping a couple of times, I bowled and we've seen a movie. And I've gone to the Starbucks a couple of times :3333333 The currywurst was delicious, too bad you can't get it in the Netherlands. You have kroketten over here and they are really bad -,-'
I'm also happy I chose for sciences. I knew since my first year that I wanted to choose that, I only started to doubt one week before I had to choose XD Why can you drop math in every country except for the Netherlands?! I'm stuck with that stupid subject because you're obligated to choose it and it sucks because my math is terrible -,-'
Yay, thanks <3 I always think by myself that you don't only get succesful by having talent and stuff but also by learning how to deal with difficult times. I've had a couple of hard periods in my life including not fitting in and I believe that it has made me stronger than all those popular sl*ts at our school :) I will have an amazing future, whereas they will drop out of high school and end up in a supermarket for the rest of their lives. I don't think it'll change in high school, but I think I'll fit in as soon as I go to college :DD
Ok ;) I can't wait :DD
I already considered buying strings online, but I don't really know how to change them :$ I'm afraid to break the guitar when I do that XD
Yeah, it's not that bad. I always screw up listening tests, but I always get a 9 (a 1 or 2) or so for theory and Grammer and stuff so I always end up with a good mark on my end list :D Well, I always watch a Glee episode after a really difficult test :33 Owh, hair loss... I understand that you try not to be stressed <3
Great to hear. :) I loved it as well and a friend of mine will go to university there come fall - that way I'll have a good reason to visit her more often. ;)
You can do the final exams, I'm sure you'll do great. :) It's normal to be nervous, everybody is. Before our finals began, everybody in my class started to study really hard, even the ones who never cared much for school or their grades altogether. Suddenly, we all became really hard-working and busy with it. ;) It really is like that, once the first exam is over, you get more relaxed and laid-back, it helps. Our finals were placed over about three weeks and by the end of the time-span, everyone was already planning nice things to do afterwards. :D And yes, I had tons of fun dancing, I just love it. ;w; All of my best friends were there, too and we didn't leave until about 4 AM. :D Oh, you have holidays? ;w; Ours don't come until June... well, not for me as I'm a senior but my little sister still has to go. ;)
I actually love gothic stores. o: Some of the dresses they have there are gorgeous as I'mm really into those old-fashioned dresses with lots of lace. And black, especially. :D I think, Milka and chocolate in general is that price everywhere here... o: At least it also is in my hometown. We always had to send a friend who was here as an exchange student that chocolate, she fell for the white Milka - they don't have it in Mexico. ;) You really didn't think about it? :D The scene where Blaine gave Kurt that tiny bowtie-ring was kind of the first thing to come to my mind. :3
Yes, I know. ;w; I've been to Eastside Gallery as well when we went to Berlin and my friends really had a lot of trouble getting me back to the hostel. ;) I know Sachsenhausen and Hohenschönhause, too... those are definitely the parts of history we can't be proud of at all. :/ We talked about it in class as well, I had a course that had Berlin as it's topic during my last two years. (Everybody here has a class that is supposed to simulate university, so you have one topic for four semesters, but you talk about it with different focuses. For example, we did history of Berlin, literature that deals with the city, politics, special places and sights... all that stuff. And we had to give lots of talks to practice talking in front of people and everybody had to do a 15 page-long paper on a certain subject. ;) ) I think we've also been to the same Mauermuseum as the one you went to, I remember that I also found it pretty interesting. :) Especially considering my daddy used to live in Eastern Germany at that time...
One of my friends went to Starbucks, too - almost everyday while we were there. :D Maybe you can find a recipe for that special sauce they put on Currywurst online - I'll keep my eyes open in case I see one. :) Are kroketten those things made of mashed potatoes? Because we have something called Kroketten as well, but I don't know if it's the same thing as yours...?
Ah, I get you started to doubt it somewhen. ;) As I told you, I couldn't even decide until due-date. :D Don't feel bad about maths, you can't drop it in Germany either. -.- I had to continue with maths classes until my very last week of school. It was just bad as my teacher openly hated us - he called us stupid all the time and didn't care at all for students who struggled. Instead of helping them, he just gave them a bad mark and that was it. I'm so glad it's over. :b
I agree with that, going through hard times makes you stronger eventually. :) <3 It probably will get better with the years - if only because the people around you become more mature and grow up. That makes lots of stuff easier. :) And I guess college really is great - I've been to the university I'd like to go to in fall for a couple of times and I loved it there. :) The people were much more like me as soon as I went to the lectures I was interested and it was quite easy to get to know people just because you've already got a common interest to start with. And until then, you've got your friends and the people on here. ;)
(I didn't forget about it, I put the recipe at the end of the message. ;) )
You could have a look at YouTube, I guess there probably should be a tutorial on how to do that. :) It's not as difficult, just try - you can look at the other strings that are still attached to the guitar and copy the way they're put on, it worked for me at least. There should be some kind of a little board on the bottom around which the strings are knotted and on top, there's the little screws you turn to tune the guitar. The usually have a small hole through which you put the string and afterwards, you can wrap it around the screw a couple times and then get it tense by turning the screw. :)
Sounds just like me. :D I always mess up when it comes to listening in English. It was even worse back when I still had to take French... -.- I'm so glad I could at least drop that class. ;) Glee is a good way to relax, that's right: :) I always watched the new episodes on Friday afternoon after I came home from school this season. :) And now, for the finals, I had lots of books in store I hadn't read yet because studying took so much time - just staying in bed reading for a whole evening was always a really nice thing to do. :3 Yeees, my body doesn't handle stress well... :D But it gets better. :)
No probelm. :) <3
And, as promised, here goes the recipe. :)
(This is for about eight to ten pies and even though that doesn't sound too much - it IS a lot. Not even my little sister could eat more than one of those at a time and she loves everything that is even just similar to a cake. ;) )
For the dough, you need:
one egg, 150 gr of sugar, 1/4 of a sachet of vanilla sugar (these really small ones), 125 gr. of yoghurt, 25 ml milk, 75 gr. of molten butter, 275 gr of flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, 3/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda, 150 gr of chopped chocolate.
And for the filling:
170 gr of soft butter, 280 gr of sugar powder, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 220 gr of marshmallow cream (this is some kind of a spread you can put on a sandwich, I don't know if it's sold in the Netherlands - if you can't get it, you can just melt marshmallows and use those. :) I tried it, it works as well. )
1) Beat the egg, sugar and vanilla sugar with a stirrer (this electric device... I really don't know the proper translation. :/) until they're fluffy. Mix yoghurt and milk. Add yoghurt-milk and butter gradually to the egg-sugar-mixture.
2) Sieve flour, baking powder and baking soda into a bowl. Add this to the other ingredients in two portions while stirring the dough at a medium speed. Fold the chocolate in and leave the dough in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes.
3) Preheat the oven to 170°C. Put baking paper onto two baking trays.
4) Form little dough-balls with a diameter of 3 to 5 cm and put them on the baking trays. ( I usually put about six on one baking tray... the little cakes get really big so they need a lot of space.) Bake them for about 10 to 13 minutes until they take their old form back when you push on them with a finger. (That's what the recipe says... mine took longer to be done, about 20 minutes. You'll probably have to watch the first load and decide on your own. :) ) Let them cool down on a grate.
5) For the filling, mix butter, sugar powder and cocoa powder with the stirrer. Add the marshmallow fluff and beat everything until it's fluffy at a high speed. Put the filling in the fridge for about half an hour so it can get a little firmer.
I'm so jealous, I'd love to go to university in Berlin, just like your friend :3
Haha, thanks <3 It's amazing that someone on the internet believes in me like that, it's heartwarming <3 I'm having a play in one week and I'm already dying because of the nerves 0.0 But I'm really excited, I can't wait to perform again :3 Ok, if the exams are just like a test week then I guess I will be just fine. Yay!! Lol, I always go shopping or have some lunch with friends after a test week :D That's my way to relax. And of course watch a lot of Glee!! Aaah, glad to hear you had fun <3 I'm so happy with the holiday!! I'm having a holiday of 2 weeks, 4 or 5 weeks of school and then I'll have summer break (7 weeks :D) Yay!!
I also like gothic stores, but I got traumatized by a scary T-shirt with a creepy picture on it 0.o I did find a nice present for a friend of mine who is a gothic <3 It is? :'( The chocolate over here is so expensive, it's not even funny anymore... I love chocolate... Nope, I seriously didn't think of it and I'm really disappointed in myself right now, lol XD How is it possible I didn't even think of Klaine, I mean I have a heart attack every time I see the number 21...
Same :D My friends were bored and I didn't understand why because East Side Gallery was just lovely. There was even this creepy part where a man stood in some kind of black tunnel with some creepy creatures, it was just.... creepy XD Well, you can't really blame Germany for Hohenschonhausen, I mean the Russians were in charge of that prison. And it's not like Germany is the only country with a shameworthy part in their history, every country has a bad part in their history. I mean, I always get so ashamed when I think of what the Netherlands did to save the Jews: almost nothing. Relatively, our country was the country of which most Jews died, and that's just pathetic. Your dad lived in East Germany at that time? What was it like? 0.o
I love Starbucks <3 Especially the frappuchinos, yum!! Oh yay, thanks! I'd love to make currywurst myself sometimes. You can make kroketten of potatos, but I actually mean the ones made of meat. Those are disgusting :/
Yeah, the temptation of doing easy subjects was really big, but I decided to listen to my head instead of my heart and chose sciences. I don't regret it :D Oh, ok I thought we were the only country, but I'm glad to hear we're not :D It would be pretty pathetic if we were :/ Aaaah, that teacher sucks!!
I guess so, the people of my age still act like a bunch of toddlers with ADHD, they are just terrible. Some people say I'm mature for my age, but I just think that all the other people aren't mature enough... I'm not even kidding, the people on this page have helped me so much with my confidence! Everyone says I'm sweet and cute and that people are crazy for not liking me :D So that's pretty amazing <3
Thank you for the recipe, I'm gonna try it asap and I'll post a picture of it when I've made them :DD
Oh yeah, didn't think of that! Good idea ;) I'm gonna watch one as soon as I'm finished writing :D
For some reason I can understand every language, except for German 0.o I'm good at English listening tests (but that's because I have every class in English) and I'm also pretty good with French listening tests but I just always get bad marks for German... That's really pathetic... Same here, I always watch the new episode right after I come home on fridays! I'm restless on those days and I can't wait to go home :D And aaah, reading is just lovely <3 My favorite books are the Harry Potter books and the Fallen serial, what about you? :) Well, it sucks that your body acts like that when you're stressed, but I'm glad to hear that it's getting better <3
Yes, me too. :3 But it's really difficult to find a room or flat to rent there and the rents are rising so much at the moment... and my family kind of needs me around, so I won't move that far away. Maybe after I'm done with my studies. :)
Why shouldn't I? :) You said you usually do well on exams, so don't let the nervosity get the best of you. It's best not to stress too much and have some breaks while you study, sometimes you can't go on and relaxing for a while helps more than panicking. ;)
Oh, what play are you in? :) And good luck, already! I know this feeling, I've always been so nervous and excited at the same time whenever we had a play or concert or something at school. I always got this tingling feeling in my stomach just before the curtains opened, I loved that. ;w; I wish you lots of fun on stage! :) <3 And lots of fun on your holidays, of course. ;) The students here have about two months of school to go and then they'll get six weeks of holiday - my sister is already counting down the days. ;)
Yes, shopping or just hanging out with friends is an awesome thing to do. ;w; We just couldn't do that during finals because all of us had different subjects and that way, there was always someone to have an exam the nect day... :/
Okay, yes - those shirts are incredibly scary. :/ I don't like them... I love black stuff, but these rotten skulls aren't really for me. :D Yes, chocolate isn't that expensive here. o: Otherwise my sister couldn't survive, she basically runs on chocolate. ;) That's what other people are for, now you know and can think of Klaine at the number 21 and at the sight of that ring. :)
Yes, I know that Hohenschönhausen originally was a prison of the Russians, but it was later used as a prison in the DDR, too. The government put people in there who tried to protest against the government - and people they just believed to do that. Nobody really made a difference and lots of people were put there even though they were innocent - the interogation was really mean. If they took you there, you didn't have a chance of getting out, guilty or not. And they had a "police" that spied on almost everyone so you never were safe, not even at your own home. Normal people were paid to betray their closest friends... and most of them did. That's what I meant. :/ My dad used to tell me about this, he grew up in that system. But he left when he was about my age...
I've never actually had something at Starbucks... o: We don't have one here and in Berlin, I always ate elsewhere and I don't like coffee that much. :/ In our part of Germany, tea is way more common, so I grew up always drinking tea. :)
Same for me. :) I could probably have gotten better grades at other subjects, but oh well... it was way more fun and more useful for what I want to study after school, so I regret nothing. :) No, you're not - even though this doesn't help that much... :b Yes, he did, but I'm graduating now and I'll just laugh right in his face. :) Especially after he had to give me a good grade for the last semester. :D
The people on here are in fact amazing, that's right. :) <3 And you are cute - you remind me a lot of my younger sister and I love my little one to pieces. ;)
Yay, you can do that. :) I hope it works out the way I wrote it down... My family and friends found them delicious, so... have fun and enjoy it. :)
I think German is pretty difficult to learn, don't be harsh with yourself. Some people here can't even speak it properly and in colloquial German, there are lots of things that simply get left out because they're difficult even to native speakers. :b I don't want to imagine having to learn all that stuff... -.- If you have troubles you think I could possibly help you with - just ask, okay? :) And it's not pathetic. I always struggled in politics which is basically remembering facts. Nobody's perfect. ;)
Me too. o: And now that I don't have school anymore, I could watch some episodes the time they aired, in the middle of the night. ;w; I was sooo excited, sitting here in my pajamas and I probably got on everybody's nerves. :D
I love Harry Potter! :) My mom got me into that, she even read the first book to me and I kind of learned to read with the books in first grade. :D Besides that, I love the Hunger Games series and lots of children's books. :) Those are mostly way more creative than the ones for adults and really wise at the same time. :3 And the Millenium-trilogy is great, I don't know if you know those books. :)
Ah, yes, it is. :) The biggest stress-stuff is over and I get to sleep a lot - it's awesome. :3
I would love to go to study in Germany too but a) My German sucks :3 b) I loooove America and c) I don't think my parents will let me go abroad XD
Well, you don't know me that well, I'm basically a stranger ;) So getting so much support and faith from a person I don't even know in real life is simply amazing <3 True, and again: thanks for encouraginh me!! It's just wow, I don't even know what to say anymore :') You're so sweet <3
We're doing The Three Musketeers this year :D It's so much fun and I love playing in it :3 And the people I work with are just amazing, they are outsiders with such an amazing talent, it's unbelievable <3 Most of the time I get really nervous right before I have to perform but then as soon as I'm on stage I get confident and I seem like a completely other person :D It's weird, but the way it makes me feel is just amazing <3 Haha, thanks! I'm not doing much actually, but I still love it <3
Ahw, I would seriously die if I wouldn't be able to do fun stuff with my friends during the exams, it's the perfect way to relax. Fortunately, your exams are over :33
Same, but I'm like this pink/bright color person :D I love it when my clothes are striking and colorful, so I don't really wear much black :/ But I do have this awesome black blazer which I totally adore <3 Well, I'd buy chocolate even if it would be 5 euros or something, I just can't do without. Especially the Milka chocolate with caramel *0* Yum!! Well, thanks to you I'm worshipping my ring right now <3333 This might be bad to say, but I'm glad my friend bought a ring which was to big for her XD
Oh, I thought i was only owned by the Russians :/ At least, that was what the guide told us, but I guess I just missed it then :3 Oh yeah, they told that to us too. It seems so strange to me to live in a place like that, idk... Ah well, luckily Germany isn't like that anymore :D
You haven't?!! You should try it asap, they have so many nice things! There are some things without coffee and those are to die for :3333 In my place, people drink both so I kinda grew up with both. Coffee is disgusting IMO, but I love Wiener Melange <3
Same, I chose physics and I predict that my grades won't be that high the next three years :/ Ah well, my grades for biology are always really high so I guess it doesn't matter that much XD Aaaah, thanks <3 Haha, I wonder what the teacher's reaction will be like XD
Thanks again <333 Wow, I'm flattered, it's not even normal anymore <3 You're so sweet for telling me those things :33
I'm sure it will be awesome, I can't wait to make it :DD
Well, I understand everything but it's just so hard to remember all those rules and exceptions on rules and so on. German is a lot more complicated than English and it's hard to learn. Some things are a bit unnecessary, like there are 16 (?) different ways of saying dein and I can't remember them at all ;/ It's the same in Dutch, not even native speakers can talk Dutch properly XD Some laguages are just too complicated....Yeah ok, I will :D So nice to have a German girl who can help me XD And thanks, again <3
Aaaaaah, same!! I'll probably watch episode 21 and 22 in the middle of the night, just like I did with episode 14 <3 I had holidays during that episode too XD
Yaaaay, potterhead <33 Seriously, I doubt that there are even HP haters, the book series are just wonderful <3 I love the Hunger games too :DD I do know those books, I want to read them but my mother thinks I'm a little too young and that I should wait two more years or something like that. But I've already seen the first movie, and the story is really good :D
I think there are courses in English at German universities as well... if I remember correctly. The uni I want to go to offers a M.Sc. in Microbiology for example. Maybe you can persuade your parents if you really want to go to another country, you've still got time. ;) And you can pull out the argument: Studying abroad is often appreciated by employers. :D
No problem, really. :) Helping people makes me happy, it's a good thing to do - that's probably why I'm always the first one to be asked whenever one of my friends needs advice or something. I guess I'm pretty reliable. ;) And it's always better to support people than to just tell them they should give up as I'm one of those people who believe you can do almost anything. :)
Oh, The Three Musketeers sound like fun! ;w; You need to tell me how it went afterwards.
I know what you mean, the music and theatre people are some kind of a nerd-clique here as well. :D Those strange people that always stay later than everybody else to practice the same piece over and over again. But in the end, that's worth it. :) And the people are great - we've got some people who go on to study certain instruments, acting or singing in summer and I'm always amazed at how good they are... Have fun with your performances, then! ;w;
I know it is, but we didn't want to distract each other too much. ;) We kept it at phone-or Skype-calls during those weeks. And yes, they are. :3 I'm so unbelievably happy. :D
I don't even know why I wear so much black anymore.... It just happened somehow. And colours are great. :) I always wear something colourful as well, like a scarf ( I love scarves. :3) or jewelry or shoes... especially shoes. ;) Chocolate is awesome. ;w; But I guess I couldn't eat it as often, it's more of an occasional thing to me. But when I decide to have chocolate, it's gotta be fast. :D Psht, you better don't tell your friend about how happy you are, though. ;)
Yes, luckily it isn't. I can't even really imagine it to be like that anymore... Good thing we don't have to.
No, I hadn't even been to a Starbucks until we went to Berlin. ;w; We don't have one here, the next one I know is in a city about one hour (if you take the train) away from here... And when I go there, I'm usually really hungry. :D Maybe I'll try it next time. :) Hm, I don't really like any kind of coffee... :/ Sometimes, that is pretty messed up - when we go to summer-camp as volunteers, everybody drinks huge amounts of coffee since we never get enough sleep. ;)
See, you can balance physics out by doing better in biology - I did a similar thing, too. My biology teacher is really strict, so I had German as my "balance-subject". ;) In the end, it worked out just fine. :) He probably won't even recognize it. :b He mysteriously vanishes whenever the seniors start their senior-prank. :D Well, I don't care - that day is gonna be awesome either way. ;w;
I know, the irregular stuff in German is insane. -.- I don't even really know the rules, I'm lucky to have learned it along the way. We all just rely on our instincts, basically. :b No problem, it's even a good practice - as an aspiring teacher. ;) Even though I won't teach languages - that'd be a trainwreck. :D
Yes, me too. :3 I still have one exam to go, but that one was placed in the week after the last episode has already aired so I can watch both of them and still get enough sleep afterwards. :)
Of course a Potterhead, the books are amazin! :) ...I guess you're right, I don't know anyone who dislikes HP. And yes, the Millenium-books really are good, but your mom might be right. I've seen the first movie, too and the books are way more violent and graphic, so a little bit of waiting wouldn't harm you. ;) I only read them last year, too, when I was 17. :)
Yeah, perhaps my parents will let me study abroad as long as I give some good arguments. But then I'll probably end up in America doing something with acting ;) But Germany will also be lovely <3
True, it's lovely to help other people. I'd love to help others myself, but I don't know what to say anymore when someone needs help. For example, when a friend is all sobbing because something bad happened, I just don't know what to say to her to cheer her up. And that kills me sometimes: wanting to help someone but just not knowing how </3
It will be so much fun!! :D I will tell you how it went after every performance. Perhaps I'll take some pictures of me in my costume 'cause the costumes are gorgeous! ;) Yeah, we have this amazing acting clique!! There are children in it but also people of 50 years old and that makes it just so amazing <3 They are like my family :33 Thanks, I'm sure I'll have fun because I loooove to act <33
Naaahw, that's cute! I don't even have Skype and my friends are telling me I should XD They are all like Skype is so much fun and you should sign up blablbabla but I never took the time to actually do it XD I did, however, create a soundcloud account today XD It'll probably take some time for me to get enough courage to actually post something on it, but I can't wait for you all to hear my terrible voice :D
Well black is pretty awesome too! I have this super cute little black dress for parties and I totally adore it :3 Especially when I wear it with high heels (yes I can walk on high heels :3). I bought this awesome green sweater-like thing from Esprit today and some super cute shorts with flowers and stuff on it <3 I already adore them :D I eat chocolate every day, I can't do without <3 But I never eat other candy, it's mostly only chocolate. And usually only two or three pieces per day :3 Nope, won't be smart to say XD Although I can imagine she kinda knows that I'm happy with it :3
Well, you're lucky to have a Starbucks one hour away, there is only one Starbucks in the Netherlands and that one is two hours away. On an airport -,-' But there are rumours that there will come one in a city near my town in 2015... I hope it's true :3 Well, they also have delicious hot chocolate and I even saw a Starbucks with tea in Berlin XD Aaaahw, but what do you drink when you're tired? Red Bull (blegh...) or something else? (or just nothing XD)
That's exactlt my theory: I'm gonna balance physics with biology, geography with chemistry, Dutch with English and French ('cause Dutch is my second worst language, right after German XD) and I can always drop history (because I chose it as extra subject :3) You have to tell me when you're graduated (because I'm sure you will ;)), I will go all yaaaaaay and congratulations and hyperactive XD
Yeah, you're so lucky that you don't have to learn all that stuff on school... Lol, every time I use my instincts for German I get everything wrong XD But as soon as I use my brains (:3) I somehow manage to get a good mark XD
Oooh, you still have one more exam to go? I thought you were already finished! What subject is it? Either way, good luck with studying and the exam itself, but I think you'll do it just fine <3
Now that I think about it, I actually know someone who doesn't like Harry Potter. It's a friend of mine, but she only dislikes it because me and another friend always fangirl about it XD Well, I guess I have to wait to read those books, but I'm already looking forward to it <3
You have already helped me with stuff and given me some advice, do you want to help me out with something else too?
Sorry I didn't answer earlier, but I got caught up between a scooter tour, a girls' evening and video games yesterday... :o
I forgot about that. Obviously. :D If you want to pursue an acting career, the USA might be a little bit more appropriate than Germany. ;) Especially if you wanted to be in movies instead of just plays. (Okay, maybe plays on Broadway. )
I guess you don't always have to say something to cheer people up. Sometimes just being there for them and listening to what they have and need to say is already enough... At least I experienced it that way. And when I'm sad, I don't even want people to say something at times - when you're sad, you might feel as if nobody understands you anyway. So if you're there for your friends, you're probably helping them a lot with it. :)
Oh, I'd love pictures! ;w; I guess it'll be amazing. Are you something like a community theatre-group with people of so many different ages? We only have a group like that here that prepares plays in what we call Plattdeutsch - some variety of German that is only spoken around here. ;) Sounds great anyways - enjoy it. <3
Ah, I know what you mean. :D My friends used to behave exactly that way before I got Skype... I only made an account because it's a good way to keep in touch with my older sister because she lived in Australia for quite some time and still frequently goes there. (She fell in love with and married a guy from Australia. ;) ) But my friends were still very happy about because I'm much easier to reach now. :D And calls with seven people are so much fun - everybody's talking at the same time and in the end, nobody gets anything. ;) Aw, I don't think your voice is terrible. :) I've heard so many people from the Wiki sing and lots of them always went on about how bad they were - and they definitely aren't. ;w;
I own lots of those black dresses, too. :3 I usually wear one of them when I go out with my friends or something. :) With heels, of course - I finally managed to be able to walk on them. :D I had to, for a dance class and it comes in quite handy now. :) Oh, green clothes are awesome. :3 One of the few colours I actually wear besides black...
See, that's why I don't eat chocolate that much - I basically love every kind of candy. ;) Yes, she probably knows. :D
Is the starbucks on Schiphol? Or a different airport? Okay, yes. Hot chocolate and tea would be awesome. :3 I think I have heard they're about to open one in the town I'm moving to in fall... maybe I'll try it then. :) Nah, I don't like Redbull. :b I mostly take really cold showers or have something like a "power-nap". :D It really helps, even though it may sound odd.
I always wanted to drop history, too. But I never really couldn't, unfortunately, because we had to have a certain amount of classes in average and history was the only one to fit in my time-table. But hey, I'm done with that now. :) I'll make sure to tell you - I get the marks for my written exams on 7th of June and they'll also tell us whether and if so, with which mark we've graduated. :) And I'll probably go at least equally hyperactive that day. :D
...then go ahead and use your brains. ;) I know what you mean though. My instincts never worked out when I tried to use them in French - it only helped in German and English because I learned a lot of stuff by translating lyrics to songs I loved. ;w;
Yes, I do. I'm done with the written exams but to graduate, everyone has to pass an oral one, too. Those are usually about a month later - mine is on the 17th of May and it'll be economy and politics. -.- Thank you! ;w; I think it'll work out somehow, I've got one of those subjects where you just need to be really convincing rather than knowing every little detail. :D
Oh well, I can understand that a little bit. ;) Lots of my friends are really into a certain TV series and they can go on about it like forever. :D There are still lots of amazing books you can read in the meantime. <3
Let's agree that if you need help, you can always ask, alright? ;)
Yeah, the USA is indeed better if you want to have an acting career. I doubt my parents will let me move to another continent though :/ I don't think they will -,-' A girl can dream...
True, you sometimes don't have to say something to cheer up someone, but I always feel so awkward when someone is sad and I'm just there doing nothing :/ I don't want anyone to talk to me when I feel bad (I won't be nice if you will talk to me when I'm like that), but for some reason I always want to say someting when someone is feeling bad. But I'm not that good with words in general, i mean more than half of the time I'm spending on writing a response to you is time in which I'm thinking about what I have to say. I guess I'm just not that spontanious, which is weird because when we have an improvistion lesson with acting, I always know what to say and what to do :/
Yeah, we have this theatre group over here which you can join at literally any age :D It's really nice because you get to play with people from other generations :3
My friends keep saying that I should get Skype, so perhaps I'll do it. Doesn't mean I'll use it though XD Aaaah, that is so incredibly cute <33 So, does your sister still live in Australia or does she live in Germany? I'm sorry, i just think it's so cute that your sister fell in love with an Australian (perhaps there's hope for me and I'll fall in love with an American so I can live in the USA, hehehe XD) Ah well, I guess you can see it for yourself when I post something XD I'll give you a link as soon as I have my first soundcloud post :33
Black dresses are awesome, I can't do without :3 I walk on heels since I was 12-13 years old. My mother wasn't exactly happy with it, but I didn't care that much :3 So I already have some experience with high heels XD As soon as I'm 18, I want to buy myself a pair of killer heels for my birthday party and it's gonna be awesome :D
Yeah, it's on Schiphol. But now I'm starting to doubt, there could also be one at the railway station in Utrecht (a city which is 1/1.5 hours away from me) I hate Red Bull, there's too much sugar in it and it makes me want to throw up :/ There's nothing weird about a power nap, I have a power nap at least twice a week because I'm always tired because I'm always busy :33
Ahw, it sucks that you couldn't drop it :/ But hey, no more history for you from now on, yay :D Ok, the 7th of June.... I will remeber it (it's still so far away, how are you gonna survive it 0.o) Ok, so then we'll go crazy together, whoop XD
Well, sometimes I'm too lazy to use my brains, to be honest. Then I'm all like whatever, I don't feel like doing this and I just fill in what I think it's right and then it will be so wrong XD I feel exactly the same as you with English, I never study anything and I always have a good mark because I can just feel what I have to fill in :)
Uuuuugh, oral exams..... Those are terrible, good luck -,-' I always fail big time when I one, I'm just not good at them because (like I said before) I'm not that good with words.
True, right now I'm busy reading a book from a Dutch fantasy writer and it's so good. It's a book with over 600 pages :D AND I'm busy with my first fanfiction, yay :33
Uhm, ok thanks <3 Well, I have this problem with some of my friends. I'll explain it to you: As you know I went to Berlin last week. It was all fun and stuff and I really liked it, but now I have this problem with my friends. I have a group of four friends (of which I am one, so there are three others) and we are always together. But they totally left me out and kinda ignored me last week. They were talking with each other with the three of them all the time and when I tried to come into the conversation, they made it pretty clear that they didn't really want to talk with me. I didn't really mind that much, until we had the city tour by bike. They were cycling with the three of them all the time and let me cycle alone. So I started ignoring them to see what their reaction would be and they didn't even ask me what was wrong. So now I'm really pissed at them and I haven't talked with them for almost a week and it breaks my heart because they are everything to me and I don't know why they are doing like this. And tomorrow we are going to a concert of One Direction and I still haven't talked with them about it and I don't really know what to say to them because I'm still angry with them. And I really don't want to ruin it for everyone.... I'm sorry for the long explanation, but errrm... Do you know what I should do? :/
Sophie, I am so, so sorry I didn't reply! :( Stupid Wiki didn't show me this message up to now... :/
Ah, dreams can sometimes come true. ;) Have you ever told them you'd like to go to the USA? Perhaps, if you tried to tell them gradually, you could persuade them until you graduate... :)
I know that feeling of being helpless when someone you care about feels bad. :/ If you don't want to say anything wrong, you could just try asking them. If someone is really in need of something, they'll probably tell you as nobody is thinking of others that much when he feels bad himself. It works from time to time. And friends won't be mad at you if you get something wrong - even though they won't always react that way. In the end, they know you just try to be there and take care of them. :) Aw, you don't have to think so hard about what to say when you message me. <3 Just speak your mind, everything's alright as long as you're comfortable. :)
Sounds great. :) That's also one of the reasons I like my work at church, the older people who go there are mostly pretty great. And they're always happy when they see somebody young around as not many young people go to church at all. :D So they're always really friendly whenever they meet some of us.
I know that, I'm usually only on Skype after somebody wrote me on facebook or something to come online on there. :D I know, I thought it was pretty cute myself. ;w; She's living in Germany right now because she studied at a university here and is now working as a doctor, but her husband moved here as well so they could be together. :)
I'll watch out for that then. ;) I did a cover of my favourite song yesterday, but it got soo messed up. :D I mostly did it so Tae would finally be quiet about it, he wouldn't stop telling me I should do a cover and so on and so on... ;)
Yay. :3 I love heels, too but I don't wear them that often because I'm already pretty tall without them. ;) I always stick out as most of my friends are much shorter than me, I don't need to emphasize that any further... I think the highest heels I ever owned were like 10 cm... o.O
Yep, Redbull isn't my thing... most energydrinks aren't. :/ Oh well, I don't need to drink it. And power-naps are awesome. ;w; I sometimes have one when I come home from school because I rarely sleep more then two or three hours at night. And I've also got lots of extracurriculars going on, so I'm always tired. ;)
I really hope so - but there shouldn't be that much history if I study biology and chem. :D I'll somehow have to, I don't know yet myself. ;) At least I get the mark for my oral exam the same day and as mine is placed at 16.20, I'll only have to wait for about one and a half hours for it. :) Yes, we'll go crazy. :D
I'm reading a thriller and my favourite book from when I was a child simultaneously. :3 I can't really read the thriller at night as it is pretty scary, so I'll continue my children's book then - I love that one. <3 Oh, what kind of fanfic are you writing?
Hm, that sounds messed up. :/ Has anything happened in between thursday and today?
Otherwise I guess I'd ask them why they behave that way... It's probably the best thing to do so you know where you're at with them.
I guess I'm just as guilty, I was on holiday to Istanbul the past few days so I'm also sorry for the late response! But I'm back now <3
Well, they sometimes can, that's exactly why I'm gonna try :3 I haven't told them yet, I'm a little scared of their reaction. And I guess I'm also kinda scared that they'll say no and that it will be definitive :/
I can't believe it, you always know exactly what to say <3 I guess you're a lot better with words than I am, lol XD
It's awesome, I love it so much!! That's why I'm pretty heartbroken over the fact that I'll stop with it soon, I'm gonna do some more professional acting lessons </3 It's nice that you like the people who work at the church! Btw, what exactly are you doing when you work at church, I can't really imagine anything :3
Nope, I'm not gonna take Skype ;D It takes too much time and I'm afraid of awkward silences XD Aaaaaaahw, he moved to Germany for her? I'm sorry that's so cute <33
I'm probably gonna post something friday, after I found out how I have to do that in the first place XD And I'm still doubting which song to pick (teenage dream or Don't Dream It's Over) but I think I'll do Teenage Dream :D And I lost my voice after the 1D concert, so it still has to recover... What song did you do 0.o Gimme a link, nooooooooooooow!!!!
Same, I already feel like a tree without them but I looove me some heals for a party :D Ok, that's pretty high... My mother won't let me wear any higher than 6 cm :'(
I always get even more active than I already am when I drink some, it's not a good idea for me XD Same, I have so many things going on, I need powernaps ;3
Oooooh, how did the exam go? I hope it went well <3
It's about Klaine (obviously) and I'm not gonna tell the plot XD But I will give you the link as soon as I posted it on Scarves and Coffee :3
We went to the concert together and they did exactly the same and pretended like nothing ever happened!! But I'll talk to them asap, I can't do without them :'(
Have better arguments. ;) You've still got time, collect some and then just give it a try - maybe they'll surprise you. And you already have that 'No.' for an answer, it can only either stay the same or turn into a 'Yes.' if you ask, so it can't get "worse". ;)
Aw, thank you - that is a cute thing to say. <3 Maybe it's just because I've got a whole lot of experience with that... my best friends can sometimes be a mess and they mostly ask me for advice or just comfort so you get to know certain situations as time goes by - and that makes it a lot easier to decide what to say or to do. You'll get there. ;)
Oh, that is awesome and sad at the same time. :/ But it helps you with making your dream come true. :) I mostly work with children of all ages and teenagers when I'm at church. We organize something like 'meetings' for kids where they can meet up and we play games or craft or cook with all of them for a whole day at special occasions or just an afternoon usually. And in summer, we go on a vacation with a big group of kids for four days. :) It's really nice, we plan crafting-sessions, a big football-match with everyone (which usually turns into a waterfight. :D), a campfire where they can bake their own bread on long sticks or just go swimming or rowing. We also help with confirmation classes and such - there's always a lot of stuff to be done. :D
I know what you mean - I'm barely online on Skype myself because of that. :D Aw, don't be sorry - I thought it was really cute myself. :)
If you need help, ask Tae - he's really good with this recording-stuff. (Or you can ask me if he's not available, I know at least the basic things. ;) Aw, Teenage Dream is like the Klaine-hymn. :D I know that, happens to me whenever I go to a concert - my voice is gone, I've got bruises everywhere... it's just a mess. <
Right? :D I don't really care for my height anymore when I go to a party. :) I'm sticking out either way so the heels don't make that much of a difference. (I didn't wear such heels when I was your age as well - don't feel bad. <3 )
Hyperactive, yes - me too. :D
The exam's not over yet. ;) It's on friday next week, I've still got some time left. :)
Yes, I guessed it could probably be about Klaine. :D Okay, sounds like a deal to me. :)
Aw, that sucks. :( I wish you good luck when you talk to them! <3
Meh, I lost everything I wrote because I listened to your soundcloud and another time because I did something weird... Ah well, I hope the third time will go a little better...
I had so much fun!! The people over there were amazing and the things I saw were absolutely stunning <3 I also smoked a water pipe XD It was pretty gross though, so no more smoking for me :3
You know what, you're right! I'm gonna prepare it asap and I'm just gonna tell my parents. I have to if I want to go! I'm starting tomorrow ;) You know, that reminds me of a Dutch saying: Nee heb je, ja kan je krijgen (You have a no but you can get a yes)
You're welcome <3 I always feel so awkward when I'm just standing there and I don't know what to say, but like another Dutch saying says: Wijsheid komt met de jaren (You'll get wiser when you get older) so I guess I'm alright indeed <3
True, but just like you said, sometimes you have to make difficult decisions to make your dreams come true. This decision was difficult to make, but I'm glad I did because I really want to become better! That sounds so nice!! Especially the vacation, it must be lovely to go on holiday with children :D I wish I could do it but a) I don't go to church and b) there are no such things to do near me...
My friends sometimes are so long on Skype, talking about useless things (1D mostly), it affects their marks. They literally get lower marks because they are on Skype for too long! And I don't want that to happen to me, so I'm not gonna sign up for Skype XD I won't be able to shut up if I do :3
I heard his editing of Outcast which he did with other wiki members! It was really good :3 Perhaps I'll ask him ;) I'm gonna do Teenage Dream Acoustic and I'm gonna start practising today!! And I'm planning on posting it tomorrow so yay!! <3 Same, I always feel really bad after a concert and last friday I had to catch a plane afterwards, ugh...
Well, I listened to it ;3 It's not that bad, I liked it <3 I didn't laugh at you, I swear!
Saaaaame!! But my mum said that I can choose my own high heels for my 18th birthday, no matter the height!! Gonna choose some high ones, hehehe >:)
Oh ok XD Well, then good luck with your exam friday XD
Oh yay!! I hope you will like it, it won't be a very happy one... (I looooove me some drama XD)
Hey Sophie. :) I couldn't write yesterday, I was in hospital... :o But I'm home now and everything's alright. :)
Aw, that's stupid. :( Did it work out now? ( I really hope so. <3)
I know waterpipes - not my thing either. :b But Turkey is awesome, I've been there a couple times on holidays. :) Have you been anywhere else except for Istanbul? We went on a boat-tour last time and it was amazing - you could go for a swim in the sea and just jump in right from the boat. :)<3
I guess I even know that saying, we have one that is just the same in German - even the words are similar. ;) And I wish you tons of luck when you try. :)
Aaaand we also have that saying. :D May be because our languages really are similar in certain points. Everyone feels awkward when they get into such a situation - that is perfectly normal. It's not really something you experience in everyday-life. ;)
I'm sure you will get better. :) <3 And I know what you mean - I was a pretty good dancer when I was younger and even participated in competitions with my group but our practice was set during my schooltime, so I had to leave in the end. :/ It is nice indeed, the kids are simply awesome. <3 And we also get to be kids for a bit, none of them care if we behave a little childish - they even think we're cool for doing that. :D And some of my best friends come along as well, it's really funny. :) Ah, you don't have to be in church necessarily - sports groups and stuff like that also offer such camps and volunteer work for teenagers. :)
Okay... when it starts to affect marks, it's probably not that good of an idea. :/ We only talk there after everyone's done their homework, so it works out for us. But I get why you don't want to then.
I know, I've heard that one as well. :) Are you done with your recording yet?
I believe you, no problem. :) I don't want to be a singer anyway, it's not bad that I'm not too good at it. :D
See, you can get some really high ones then. :) I got some for the ball we'll have for our graduation class and I already fell in love with them. <3 :D
Thank you, I can need every bit of luck. :D
Ah, it's alright - I'm all in for drama. ;) Most things I read are really dramatical and don't necessarily have a happy end, so... :D
WHAT YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL?! Why sweetie? :'( And it's ok, really ;) Perhaps it's time to stop saying sorry when we don't reply for one or more days, because we never think it's that big of a deal anyways :3
Yeah it did ;) In case you didn't notice: I was talking about my response I wrote to you XD
The smoke from the water pipe made my throat burn, it was pretty awful. At least I know for sure that I will never start smoking in my life because it's just ugh... I don't understand there are actually people who do that :/ Well, this was my first time in Turkey and I loved it and I really want to see other parts of the country too :D Nope, we've only been to Istanbul. It was just a nice city trip for a couple of days :3 A boat-tour, that sounds amazing! I've never been on a boat-tour before, and I'd loove to go on a cruise someday <3
Haha, lol XD Well, German and Dutch do come from the same language (Germanic) so actually that's pretty logical XD Thanks for the good luck, I already started preparing my I wanna go to America speech :3
Yay for German-Dutch similarities XD I seriously don't understand why I'm so terrible with German 0.o It doesn't make any sense, they sound pretty much alike and the syntax is pretty much the same 0.o Yeah, I guess I shouldn't think too much about what to say, I should follow my heart (that sounded poetic, lol XD)
I hope I will, the lessons are pretty expensive :/ But my singing has improved a lot since I got lessons since September so I guess the acting will go pretty much the same :3 Ah, it sucks that you had to quit dancing. Stopping with something you love is difficult, but I guess it's part of life... Are you still dancing in another group now or did you stop completely? Ah, that sounds lovely <3 Last summer I helped at a kindergarten when secondary school already had holiday but the elementary hadn't and it was absolutely lovely. Well, we don't have any of those things near my living place. But I do have a summer job this summer holiday :33
Yeah, high marks are pretty important to me, I'm not happy with anything lower than an 8 (I think a 2 in germany...) so I'm really doing the best I can to achieve that. So no Skype for me :3
Yeees, I was... -.- Anaphylactic shock because a bee stung me - some kind of bad, heavy allergic reaction. But I mainly had to stay there because they put me on watch in case I'd faint again or something. Half as bad in the end. :)
...I figured it could've been the response... :D But if it worked out in the end, I'm glad it did. :)
Yes, I know. The one time I tried a waterpipe made my convinction to never smoke in my life even stronger. I had this burning throat afterwards as well... :b Yes, it's a beautiful country - I've been there a couple times, especially at the seaside in the south. :3 A city trip is already great - me and my friends are currently planning some kind of "Berlin-revival-trip" while visiting my best friend's sister. :) Yeees, the boat-tour was awesome! Everything looks completely different from what it seems to be when viewed from a beach. And occasionally going for a swim in the ocean was a nice refreshment. ;w;
I know... but I forgot about it in the meantime, apparently. Oh well. :D Keeping my fingers crossed for that! :)
Nah, we still have a lot of strange exceptions from nearly every rule... I can imagine those are hard to learn. Just keep on practising. :) It did! :o Shall I call you Ms. Shakespeare from now on? ;)
I guess it will - professional lessons one-on-one are probably very helpful because you've got someone who can focus solely on you and give you more detailed and spot-on advice on how to improve. :) Maybe I'll start to dance again, now that I'm done with school. I guess it's also a good way to meet people when I move to a different town. And yes, little kids are lovely. <3 They tend to get really clingy so fast - last year, a little girl who was one of the youngest kids almost cried when she had to go home. It was heart-breaking and sooo adorable at once. :3
I get that - I've been cutting Skype and Wiki chat and everything down to a minimum the last few days... :D
The songs both sound amaaaazing - I love your voice! <3
You'll make it with your fanfic. :) I mean, you can take your time as nobody's waiting for a next chapter, so you can really try to get little flaws and stuff out of it.
And how did the talk and the play go? :o I'm excited to hear about both!
(I also had my exam today and scored 10 points which is equal to a B-. And I'm incredibly happy about it since I blacked out and forgot lots of stuff - and I told one of the teachers that I didn't know the answer "and honestly, I don't care too much for it, either." Yikes. I'm so happy he didn't get back on me for saying that - I was so confused at that point, I didn't even know what I was doing... :b So, yay, it's over and I'm satisfied with the result. :) )
Ahw, that sucks :( But fortunately, you feel better now so yay! So you're allergic to bees? Yikes <3
People always ask me (if they're smoking themselves) if I also want a cigarette. And I always say no because I don't want to screw up my lungs/voice (and I get a Macbook if I don't smoke until my 18th birthday) and now I know smoking is also really disgusting so I'm determined to never touch a cigarette in my life :3 I really want to go a couple of times more, I loved it over there!! But yeah, I want to go to every country but I know that's not possible :'( Yup, I love city trips. But I actually just love cities XD Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun :D Good luck with planning it :3 Well, I'm glad the boat-trip was fun. I've always wanted to go on one too, but my dad doesn't want to :'(
XD I've been preparing a lot recently, and I'm not finished yet. I just want to prepare it really well and get enough information because I don't want to screw it up :3
Same for Dutch, but I grew up with it so I already know everything. But I have to learn every single German exception and that just sucks >.< And I already forget everything one day after the test XD Well, you can if you want to, but I'm not as good as Shakespeare because I can't rhime at all :33
True, I can't wait to start but I'm so sad I have to leave my friends :'( Yeeeeees, start dancing, it'll be fun!! I always love my dancing lessons :D Little kids are the best indeed :3 and I recognize that, my little nephew always has to cry when I have to leave when I visit them XD We only see him twice a year or so and he always misses me when I'm gone </3
I'm kinda addicted to the Glee Wiki chat nowadays, I love the people on there <3
Yeah, I think I'll write it completely first, then I improve it a little and I'll post one chapter each week, so that I have some time to make a new one when I'm busy posting :3
The plays until now have gone really well! I've had the time of my life and I still have two more to go, so I can't wait :D
Well, the talk went really well. I made up with my friends and everything is fine now so yay <3
Ooooh, nice! It sucks that you had a black-out, but fortunately, yoiu still had a good mark <33
