Hey! Sorry, but deciding on wiki rules is set by the local admins and bureaucrats. Discussion mods are there to ensure they're properly executed. If you would like to read more about the responsibilities, you can visit community's available user rights.
So maybe you remember that couple month ago, i ask you for right in this wiki due to several problem that it have. And well, after a couple of thinking, me and Pswizzle decided to adopting the Glee wiki, so we can take care of this problem. I created a Blog post regarding this intention.
Since you are Glee wiki Wiki's Manager, i'm really hoping that you will support this adoption.
Hey Muhdika! Great to hear you want to help the wiki through adoption, but I must inform you that REBƎLReloaded is looking to also adopt the wiki. And you should get their stated approval in addition to the community discussion to adopt the wiki. Because of that, I recommend sending them a message and getting their input. Good luck!
After i created the blog post, i've sent message that link my blog post to more than ten active user (excluding the vandal and troll). So far i got a few reply, with a total amount of 4 user supporting the adoption.
As for REBƎLReloaded, i didn't realize that he had been active in April. I just sent him a message to discuss about the adoption, hopefully can hear it back for him soon.
I'm wondering if you could check user Jordyangus. The user has been repeatedly inserting fake information on some character page, as well as "degrading" some of it, turning it into an outdated page. He also already attacking me and two other user. With the local admin absenses, i was hoping you could give a hand about this problem.
Hi there! I took a look on the user and they seem leaning toward editing like that across wikis they've been on. According to their edits, the user was blocked on the Power Rangers Wiki for creating rumor threads, which resembles the writing style they've used here. They have made an account in the past to post on discussions, similarly doing exactly what got them blocked on the Power Rangers Wiki: https://glee.fandom.com/f/u/45326820. However, if you think their edits are counter-productive and their behavior indicates harassment, then according to both global and local wiki policy, this would result in a ban. In the situation where there aren't any admins, I would step in and administer it.
For a while, i've been clashing with user Arno1dos3 about media on this wiki. Since he started editing on this wiki, the user has been replacing some of video from an article with another video. While some of them are helpful, a lot of them however, isn't not. He basically replacing all the high quality video from this wiki with same video that have same quality but different title. Also, the videos he's been uploading is basically glorifying an act of pirating content from the show.
This act is practically violating one of this wiki policies, which is why i had to reverted all his edit since all the administrator on this wiki isn't available right now. Even though i leave an edit summary about this, the user seems didn't care much and keep reverting it, while also keep continue doing the same thing.
Since there isn't an active administrator for now, i was wondering maybe you can weighed in about this matter?
Hi there! It sounds like this user is replacing content with his uploads to highlight them as his own contribution instead of mutual work. Pirating content isn't good either, if it's essentially entire episodes in clip format. I recommend informing him on his message wall to stop what he's doing, explain why this is bad, and leave it as a warning, and if you get the chance, message the admins' walls of this issue. If he continues, then I will step in and take care of him. Hope this helps!
Hi there. Is there any particular reason that user Muhdika has twice deleted some photos that I edited on my own, from my own Glee Blu Rays, that I had then added to the Sebastian Smythe page? Am I not allowed to add to the Wiki? If not. I truly apologise, but nobody deleted the photo I added on 6th June (Bastian & Blaine), so I wondered what was the problem with the ones I added last night, and the night before, too? The photos took me a while to edit and post, and they are all my own, so I'm a bit perplexed.
I checked the images, and I think I found the problem: it seems the images you've uploaded yesterday are duplicate images of each other, and in other cases, near-identical shots. On wikis, it's best to have single copies of each image as a safe way for image moderation, or it would clutter the galleries. Does that help?
Thanks for getting back to me. Can you please show me where the photos I posted are already uploaded? Every single one of the ten that I posted, was 100% edited by me, and was a screenshot that I took from my own Glee Blu Rays, and I checked everywhere carefully before I uploaded them. I spent a lot of time both working on them, and uploading them, and was honestly a bit upset to wake up and find all 10 deleted.
I understand of course that clone photos are not a good idea, but I genuinely can't find any duplicates of the ten that I posted. Please can you direct me to where they are?
Okay..Now I am really, REALLY confused. These are all my photos. Those are all the photos I uploaded. But I only added them to the gallery on the Sebastian Smythe page, so why are they also showing up elsewhere? A user deleted my 10 photos, but since I had no idea why, I uploaded them all again the next night, but they were all deleted - again. I'm clearly missing something here.
How do I remove my photos from Special Images and add them to the Sebastian Smythe gallery, as I intended to do? Is that even possible?
Those are your photos, but the Special:Images page isn't an actual gallery. It is a visual depository keeping record of the images and shows the most recently uploaded in the same way Recent Wiki Activity shows recent edits; it's not showing them because you added them on that page specifically. However, it appears that the problem is the photos you upload are mostly duplicates or too identical to each other, and that's probably why the images kept getting deleted. The Special:Images shows that, but you can click on the image and copy the filename to put it back in the gallery; although I strongly urge you to avoid re-adding photos that are duplicates of each other.
Yeah, the duplicates are also mine, though. I have no idea how that happened. I see that the duplicates are the photos that I (thought!) I had not uploaded, as I edited them to remove white borders. I also see that a photo that has nothing to do with Glee, that was supposed to be my avatar, has accidentally been uploaded to the Glee Wiki! What a disaster! Ideally I would like if all of those photos, with the exception of the one I successfully uploaded on 6th June, that I have uploaded in the last two days, could be deleted, so that I can start from scratch.
Is that something you can do for me, or do I need to do i manually? God..so stressful. I have no idea what went wrong with my uploads. Sorry for causing hassle!
Plese delete very single one that I uploaded, except for the one I managed to upload correctly on the 6th June! I will then proceed to re-upload them - carefully - after a very stiff drink! Well maybe the day after a very stiff drink..Just to be on the safe side! Good grief..I thought my students moaning that they want their summer holidays to start, were hassle enough on a Friday, but this has been a nightmare! Thank you so much for helping me navigate this maelstrom! Have a lovely weekend|!
