OMG OMG thanks to that song, I decided to change something; Unique and Marley won't be returning to McKinley on the first episode.
Unique will sing that song on the second episode because IKWIB is like her practicing with her choir, y'know, prepping for a singing competition (the Barangay-kind of competition lolol). Kittchel will visit and try to persuade her or s/t.
Then they'll be back on the second episode. They'll join Jake, Ryder, Kitty, Mason, Madison and Roderick as they sing DSB. kinda like what happened to We Are Young.
On the second episode, it would be better to focus on their resentments. Then a Rachel or Rachel/Kitty moving speech + apology and then have Rachel to say what glee club has done to her life, that convinces them to rejoin. I love DSB but I want to reserve that for Nationals XD
Before I forget, Open Arms would be a nice male/female duet at sectionals/regionals
Give Jake and Ryder a storyline about the school they were transferred to. Don't put the relationship between them yet, I'd like both of them to realize gradually in the season that they're more than friends. They could be angry or indifferent about the disbandment, whatever you want.
Get Ryder, Jake and Unique, or one of them bring up what Marley said in 5x12, "Sue Sylvester didn't win". One of them would resent that statement, and a little drama could work.
Mason, Madison and Roderick could also do something as supporting characters. They could sing a group number dedicated to the angry former ND.
Also who are the characters of the whole season? Main and recurring.
Songs (second episode):
Resentment (Beyonce) sung by idk. I love the song but I don't know how would it work. If we're giving this to Unique, I'd still have Unique sing WYA than this.
Whataya Want from Me or Take Back (both by Adam Lambert) sung by idk. It could work for Jyder, but I think there are more suitable songs.
Believe (Cher) sung by Mason, Roderick, Madison (add Kitty if you want). Nice song but there are better songs. I just can't think of one and I love me some Cher.
The Heart of the Matter (India.Arie) sung by New Directions. In the choir room or auditorium, the ND 2.0 rejoin and they sing this song. This could also work in place of Believe, so we could use it later in the season.
You should add your own song choices and storylines too.
bc ur imagination is just aslkjalsfjaslfkasjfla i should be ashamed of myself ug h.
Then a Rachel or Rachel/Kitty moving speech + apology and then have Rachel to say what glee club has done to her life, that convinces them to rejoin. Dramatic speeches are sort of my forte so I think I'd ace this. I can already imagine Jake, Ryder, Unique and Marley in the choir room as Kittchel gives their speech.
I suck at song choices, I swear. I only know like from Beyonce to One Direction. Basically pop or whatever you want to call that D: I'm sorry :(
Anyways, I like that title. I have listened to Sia's song and it's superb!!
IDK, TBH, if we're not giving Will VA or WMHS principalhood, I think we should demote him to the recurring cast, unless we give a storyline for him and Sue. Sue should definitely stay so glee club has an antagonizer.
For the time being, I have no idea what to do with Myron, Artie and Mercedes. Brittana and Klaine is most def the NY side of the season. Alistair is Spencer's bf, so the three are indifferent to me.
When (and how) are you going to introduce Spencer, Jane and Niall? If they're playing themselves, I'd like even in one episode to see how fame and fortune affects people. Also I'd love to see a darker side of Zayn, maybe he gets hate when the world knows he's dating a transgender.
Okay, so I realized that VA here will be hella irrelevant so lmao, I put Will to recurring.
Artcedes will appear, obvi, I just don't know when and for what reason. Maybe Klaine's big gay wedding? Let's just figure that out soon. Myron, well, we could just do his Child Star storyline. He'll join because of Superintendent.
No, One Direction doesn't exist in this, omg. That will just make our story messy tbh. I just decided to put Zayn and Niall in there for Unique. Basically Zayn is just playing with Unique's heart (Niall is his fiance). So that means more solos for Queen Unique.
Jane and Spencer? hmm, maybe a Jane-Mason-Spencer love triangle? That means Spalistair won't happen. We could just give Alistair another mini-storyline.
IM FREAKING OUT BC I FEEL LIKE WE WRITE BETTER THAN RIB.
Oh. Okay haha. I'd love to twist Child Star a little. We'll do Myron and Alistair in that episode and then they are going to sway in the background. Honestly it should all be about Rod, Spencer, Kitty, Marley, Jane, Mason, Madison, Ryder, Jake and Unique + Will, Sue
Maybe Rod-Jane-Madison for a love tri? I am hungry for Jyder and Spason. But I'd love to see two popular students (Mason, Spencer) vying for a regular one (Jane). Aside from the love triangle, clique-storylines will work the three.
Regarding Zayn, Niall and Unique, it be better if Niall only appears when he finds out about Zaynique. Let's not do too much outside of McKinley or the glee club. I'd also like Zayn to be dumped by both. Unique and Niall can do a one-time only duet. Maybe it can happen in a P!nk tribute episode. Unique sings Try, while Niall and Unique sing So What.
Klaine + Brittana will have 6x08 and no more focus.
We'll do a alumni only episode to close all storylines, but I don't know how yet.
Will and Sue will also have their episode to close theirs, and they'll be written out if it works. ND will no longer face conflicts with Sue as WMHS is now for the arts, but instead they'll have problems with Troubletones and Duly Noted. Nationals and pre-Nationals episode will focus on this conflict and then it will be resolved. Maybe Myron will come from JV glee club and everyone will be in shock that he is actually King Myronce.
Okay, this is my final judgement about Sue and Will. If you don't mind, let's have Jane and Matt in the recurring cast, since they'll just be there for the feud + forgiveness + WMHS for the Arts storyline. Individually, Sue's storyline would only be trying to stop Kittchel in their intentions of rebooting ND, while Will would start appearing when Sue's insanity gets worse, then in the principal promotion. Sue becomes vice pres, then she'll be written out. Will only re-appears in the glee club wars.
No, it's Roderick-Madison, Roderick-Jane haha.
JV club and Myron will have their focus in the Nicki Minaj tribute. Beyonce tribute can always fit anywhere, anytime so let's not worry about this for now. Seeing you're a fan of RiRi too, maybe we'll also do one for her.
I'd also love to see season seven, like, pure ND. No other characters haha. They can just pop out of nowhere if needed. But if we run out of sensible storylines, let's just finish season six. Let's not worry haha.
I'd love to see Mason in an unhappy relationship and he will sing Thinking of You (Katy Perry) to Spencer bc Billy would slay, he always does.
Wait I totally forgot about Where You At. Is it gonna be in 6x02? I don't mind if it's not, but make Marley sing. Hahaha. Maybe Resentment by Marlique and Where You At by Unique. Where You At could work in two ways:
Unique is approached by Rachel and rejected her offer of rejoing ND, then sings this song. She looks out from the doorway while ND is happy, but she still resists. Or..
Unique fakes her audition. She first appears to be nice to Rachel but she sings this song and Rachel realizes Unique is using the opportunity to sing and fire back to Rachel.
Rachel and Kitty talks to Unique and Marley in the auditorium and tries to use nostalgic memories to convince them to go back. Unique and Marley doesn't join yet, and then they are next seen in the auditorium. I was thinking of a The Scientist type of performance, where Rachel is only imagining people. Rachel sings the last line of the song and then realizes she is singing with no one.
I think since this is just a fanfic we can have many songs as we want. You can put back the McCarthy duet then use it as a Cheerios! number. It would also be nice to replace Mustang Sally with Viva Voce (the song Roderick was singing in the library).
The Heart of the Matter is a celebratory number, as Ryder and Jake return and new ND members join. Marley then sings one of the final lines with Rachel and/or Kitty, and Kittchel are surprised and happy, signifying Marley's return. Unique looks out from the entrance (ala Puck during DSB), looking sad but frustrated. She sighs as she looks at them longingly, but she walks out the door.
The song and the episode will end afterwards with a group hug.
"Even if you don't love me anymore" fits Rachel so much, so maybe she can sing that part...
Song order and descriptions:
Whataya Want From Me? (another school) - Jake and Ryder are in the same school and Kitty convinces them. Jake and Ryder are famous and is in a school where it's okay to love music and sports at the same time. In the gymnasium of their school, they sing this song. It's up to you if Jyder intended to sing this to Kitty or just a coincidence that it fits the situation.
Resentment (bar) - Marley and Unique sings this in the bar where Marley sung Skyfall. They then talk about the offer Kitty and Rachel gave them, but Unique insists that she is happy with her current school and Marley says that Sue will never allow them to go back to the school anyway. Rachel arrives after the performance of the song, and tries to approach the two. She chickens out and resorts to eavesdropping. Upon hearing the two, she becomes and determined.
What I Have Been Looking For (WHMS gymnasium)- Madison and Mason sing this in the football field/WMHS gymnasium (whatever) with the Cheerios! as a rehearsal number, it's just kind of a filler, but here Rachel discovers the twins' talent and convinces them to join the Glee club. The twins are welcoming and are eager to join but Sue interrupts and says that they can't join the glee club. She also states that she has heard of Rachel convincing the glee clubbers Sue transferred to other schools and says she won't allow them to come back. Rachel reveals he has talked with the district board and also with the superintendent and says that these students are allowed to go back and enroll since they do not have a bad record at the school. Before Sue could even speak, Rachel points a finger and says "you have made our lives awful during our time here, and I'll never allow you to do that again". Sue is frustrated as Rachel walks out. Before she finally exits, she turns back and looks at Sue and says "THIS.... IS WORLD WAR GLEE"
Viva Voce (auditorium) - Before the song, Roderick gets a vocieover, and says that his voice is his only friend and weapon and will get out alive of this high school hell. He signs up for the glee club by himself (unlike in Homecoming where he is convinced), and sings this song. Rachel is wowed at his performance, so is Kitty. Rachel will not accept him yet, and says that the list will be up on Friday. This would make sense since Rachel has also an eye for Ryder, Jake, Marley, Unique, Mason and Madison.
Fire Meets Gasoline (bar, transpersons choir auditorium, choir room, WMHS auditorium) - the first part is sung separately, Marley in the bar, Unique in the auditorium of her school, Rachel in the auditorium, and Kitty in the choir room. We see flashbacks of Marley and Unique's (or maybe even Kitty and Rachel) happy days in the glee club. They are later on seen in the auditorium of McKinley, sitting on stools (ala The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face) and sing their pain in the song. Rachel sings the last line, and realizes she is just imagining the three girls singing with her.
Where You At? (WMHS auditorium) - Unique realizes she needs this opportunity to express her deep pains to Rachel. She talks to Marley and tells her about her plan to fake an audition. In the auditorium, Rachel is surprised and ecstatic, thinking Unique is really coming back. Unique starts singing this song, Rachel takes down notes, but at the climax of the song, Unique bursts into tears, venting with sadness and anger. Rachel is shocked and realizes that the song is for her. Unique finishes the song and tells Rachel that "you don't see the pain because you only see yourself. when I see you again, I'll be defeating you at sectionals". She drops the microphone and storms out. Rachel give a horrified reaction.
/ somewhere here, Ryder and Jake return to McKinley and interacts with Kitty, they also do an audition off screen /
/ Unique tells Marley what happened in the auditorium. Marley reveals to Unique, hesistantly, that her mother allowed her to go back at McKinley. She says that her mother talked to her and said that shti happens but life goes on and she should not resist happiness. She says that she misses ND so much and would love to have Unique back too. Unique says she's happy for her bestfriend, but she is dedicated to her school and the Transpersons choir. Marley says that she'll always be there for her, and if she considers returning, she would be the first to welcome her. Then they share a hug. /
/ In the hallways, Rachel approaches Kitty and they walk together. Rachel tells her about the encounter with Unique and Kitty tells Rachel that she shouldn't be surprised, because "we have the right to be angry at you". However, she assures Rachel that she's over that and ready to help her rebuild the club, and that everything is going to be alright. They post the list of the new members of the New Directions. Roderick, Mason and Madison are in the background, and when the list is up, they are happy when they are accepted.
The Heart of the Matter (choir room, hallways, auditorium) - Rachel announces the first glee club meeting with its newest roster, Kitty, Roderick, Mason, Madison, Ryder and Jake. The new members greet each other. Rachel gives a short speech and apologizes to Kitty, Ryder and Jake. She then quotes Quinn, but without saying her name. "A good friend and a former gleek once told me, you can't change your past, but you can't let go and start your future." She continues, "I assure you I will never leave this place without proving to you that together, we can do this. We will see it all together. When we look back in our time here, WE WILL be proud." Yeah, that's a line from 2009, but Rachel is optimistic and such. She then starts singing. They all stand. Kitty sings next. While singing their own lines, they are walking in the hallways. They arrive in the auditorium and continue singing. In the last chorus, Marley arrives and sings her lines. Rachel, Kitty, Ryder and Jake are surprised and happy to see her. Marley looks at Rachel for a few seconds and hugs her. She then hugs Kitty and they continue to sing together. Unique then overlooks at them in the door way (ala Puck during DSB). Though sad and envious, she is determined to do her own thing. She heads out the door as the song and episode ends.
I can never complain about that plot of yours, Von. You're seriously good at this, I'm so jealous, I swear. You basically gave me the whole episode, oh my lord.
About your questions:
1. I think Spencer will have a brief cameo during the twins number, he won't talk, just a cameo. He'll just talk in episode 3 (the episode where the Alumni comes back) and his storyline starts, about Jane, hmm, I think she's going to be just another girl who auditions for the club. Her Dalton storyline was crap, imo. Then as the season goes by, there'll be an episode where Jane and Unique will have a little rivalry because for Unique, "she should be the only black woman in the room".
2. I haven't watched Rock of Ages but yeah, a rock-centered episode will be nice. So yeah, sure.
3. She'll join in episode 3. She won't announce that she will, she's just going to join the final group number of the episode then that's it.
Oh but would it be possible if we end episode 2 (or idk what episode ;w;) with a cliffhanger? I was thinking that it would go something like this:
(The scene starts with Rachel locking the door of the choir room. Then her phone starts ringing.)
RACHEL: (looks at the Caller I.D, it is revealed to be Kurt) Kurt? Hi, what's up?
KURT: (sad) Rachel, is it possible for you to fly back here for a while?
RACHEL: (confused) Why? Did something happen? (walks out of the campus)
KURT: (emotional) It-It's Blaine.
RACHEL: (nervous) Kurt, what happened?
KURT: (whispers) He's in the hospital.
(The episode ends with Rachel's eyes wide, lips open, doesn't know what to say.)
What happened to Blaine? Agree with that idea, as long as Blaine is really in serious need of friends. Otherwise it would kill-off the song's vibe.
That would be a good twist though, given the The Heart of the Matter is a fun performance. They all hug and Rachel gets a phone call and BANG
It's okay to have Unique in episode 3, but she needs to have a big scene where she finally forgives Rachel. It would be awesome if Kitty and Marley (and presence of Madison, and Jane if she's already in the club) if they personally talk to Unique. It's a nice homage to the comfort room scene in Hold on to Sixteen.
Also I don't want Unique to come off like she just left the Transpersons Choir. Maybe Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst could be their last number together, and she says thanks and goodbye.
When Rachel's not around, who would take over? Will or Sam? I really don't know what to do with Will, but he needs closure with Sue, so he still needs to interact with ND, on the other hand, Sam is *spoiler* the coach in the finale when Will becomes principal, so he needs to interact with them too. I also don't know what to do with Sam other than that. It would not hurt to see them together as substitutes for Rachel, but it would be unrealistic given that Will has no purpose of being at McKinley (as what we've decided we don't want a VA storyline) and we haven't talked about what Sam would do. Since I figured out we both don't want too much alumni, I think Will should do it. He could be rehired as the spanish teacher, but Will just uses this opportunity to end Sue once and for all.
I'll give Blaine the Bash storyline that happened to Kurt. At the start of episode 3, there will be a flashback of Kurt and Blaine having a fight (not a serious one) in a restaurant then Blaine gets upset and walks out then he walks in a dark alley where some dicks beat the crap out of him.
I think I'll squeeze in the Unique saying goodbye to the Transpersons Choir, then just before the group number, Unique, Marley, Kitty and Rachel will have a scene in the bathroom. I don't want to put Madison and Jane anywhere in this scene, lmfao.
And yes, Will is gonna take over ND while Rachel is in New York then he calls the Alumni to go back and help them recruit members.
But yeah, we still need to think about Sam and the others' storylines.
Start with a Rachel and Kitty conversation. they'll talk about Ryder, Jake, Marley and Unique. Rachel points out Marlique doesn't want to come back, so Kitty suggests they convince Jyder before Marlique. Rachel says she doesn't need to and she's very thankful about Kitty's efforts, but the money she contributed to reinstate the club is already too much. Kitty easily agrees. Rachel and Kitty head out in opposite directions. Kitty stops, smiles, and gets her phone. Next scene would be the school where Jake and Ryder are.
I mean, don't instantly start with Kittchel. Maybe Rachel is in the choir room arranging sheet music, and then Kitty jokes that she's arranging for no one. She then brings up the possible members to return.
