Linnethia Monique Johnson, known professionally as NeNe Leakes, born December 13, 1967, is an American television personality and actress. She is a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and she guest stars as Roz Washington on Glee.
Personal life[]
Leakes was born in Queens, New York, and resides in Duluth, Georgia.[1] She is an advocate against domestic abuse, and having experienced it herself, has written a memoir[2] in hopes that her story will resonate with women who have been through similar circumstances.
Leakes used to work as a stripper under the name "Silk" in the 1990s.[3]
She was married Gregg Leakes for fourteen years before they divorced in 2011, they remarried in June 2013.[4] Leakes has two children, Bryson (b. 1989), and Brett (b. 1999, with Gregg). She became a grandmother when Bryson and his girlfriend, Ashley Hill, had a daughter, Bri’asia, in 2012.[5]

Leakes is a cast member of the television reality show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Leakes earned her net worth from her role in Housewives and associated appearances, as well as her time as a contestant on the eleventh season of Donald Trump's NBC series The Celebrity Apprentice and sales of her book. During the tenth episode of Apprentice, after arguments with fellow cast member Star Jones, Leakes walked off the show. Leakes was playing for the charity which she founded, "The Twisted Heart Foundation," concernting domestic violence against women.
She portrayed Rocky on Ryan Murphy and Allison Adler's new show The New Normal on NBC. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after one season.
She was recently a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice.

Leakes was announced to have join the season 18 cast of Dancing with the Stars in March 2014.
Leakes was announced, in September 2014, to have joined the Broadway cast of "Cinderella". She protrayed Madame starting on November 25[7] till January 2015.
