Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee is featured in Previously Unaired Christmas, the eighth episode of Season Five. It is sung by Will and the New Directions.
In The Choir Room, the New Directions and Will prepare for the Christmas season as they decorate The Choir Room with Christmas decorations whilst singing Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. In the Boy's Locker Room, Coach Beiste and the Football Team also decorate a Christmas tree along with Stoner Brett and the 4/20 Club in a McKinley classroom, decorating their own. The New Directions sing and dance together, enjoying the Christmas festivity as they turn on the Christmas lights, lighting up the tree and The Choir Room. At the end of the performance, they applaud each other for their work.
