Ware was raised in Nebraska and had no acting training prior to her theatre work and had only sung in her church choir.
She did attend college to become a music teacher while minoring in journalism, however she would leave in order to audition for The Lion King.
After a year of college, Ware took a trip to Chicago and auditioned for a role in The Lion King and six months after she received the part of Nala. Shortly after she managed to land a role in The Book of Mormon, coming from a semi-religious family Ware wasn't aware of how her family would accept the news but they loved it, for which she received the Helen Hayes award for best supporting actress.She would later go on to originate the dual roles of Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds in the Chicago production of Hamilton.
Ware will make her 54 Below debut in a new connect called My Little Planet on July 25.
