Songbird by Fleetwood Mac is featured in Rumours, the nineteenth episode of Season Two. It is sung by Santana.
She sings it to Brittany in order to better express her feelings for her. She does not sing it in front of the rest of the New Directions because she is afraid of what they might say behind her back.
During the performance, Santana is seen teary-eyed and gives an intent look at Brittany. At the end, they both hug as Brittany speaks to her about coming onto Fondue For Two, so that Santana can come out. Santana agrees, but does not show up to the Fondue For Two segment.
