Jane A. Galloway Heitz (September 18, 1941 – November 13, 2019) was an actress and casting agent. She is known for her guest appearance on Glee as Lillian Adler, the former head of the Glee Club at William McKinley High School.
Personal life[]
She was born in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota for a couple of years before going to Chicago. Galloway was married to Bill Heitz for thirty-seven years before his death in 2002 and the couple had one daughter, Amie.[1]
Career[]
Galloway Heitz opened her own casting business in Chicago while acting and helped nurture the early careers of Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Richard Kind and Eric Stonestreet.[2] Galloway Heitz made her debut in The Straight Story in 1999 and went on to appear in ER, Shameless, Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy over the years.
Glee[]
She appeared in the director's cut of the Pilot, the first episode of Season One; otherwise, she only appeared in a picture hanging perpetually on the wall in the choir room next to the door, with the quote 'Glee is about opening yourself up to joy'. She would appear in "Dreams Come True" through a flashback of Will.
