Welcome to my first blog! I've been wondering what to write about for the last little while, and I've settled on something a little different. You see, I'm Australian, and Glee is a very American show, so this is my take on American culture from this show. If what I write is completely wrong, please let me know, but this is how I see things.

rst, we don't have 'Glee Clubs' in Australia. I know they aren't that common in America, but still. We stadiums in schools and our own teams that play on a weekly basis. You can still play for the school, but not every week, or with so many people turing up. One thing that is really hard for me to understand is your school system, it's so weird. We start a new school year in January, a new year level after having, give or take, a month and a half off. In my state, you start at prep, when you're 5, turing 6 that year, then move through grades 1-6, all that Primary School. After that you move on to Secondary, or High School, which is year 7-12, finishing up when you're 18. You have Middle School and wierd names such as Freshman and Sophomore. You also change grades in the middle on the calendar year. It's confusing for me on the other side of the world.

When Quinn was slightly normal, or a Cheerio
A major part in Glee is the cheerleaders, The Cheerios. We don't have them here, unless you find a group that specially does it, hardly ever in schools. Also what else does Sue and Coach Beiste do? We have PE teachers, but they are teaching all the time, those two can't get by coaching cheerleading an football respecably. I'm not sure if this is a Glee fault, or your school system, but it seams wierd.
I love Glee, so I'm not trying to be mean, but understanding something that is happening on the other side of the world is sometimes a hard thing to do. So if you could help me understand this confusing society or want to know anything about Australia, drop me a line and I'll get back to you as soon as I can, I am on holidays. Hope your day is Gleek one, Joanna.
