Production
During production of Season 3 of Glee, rumors went around Hollywood saying after graduation, producers were stuck between two options: either give Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer a spin-off series, or keep one show, Glee.
As more and more retooling came into play, producers decided to give Michele and Colfer a spin off, have Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, and Mark Salling join them, and keep Monteith on Glee as Finn Hudson, the New Directions' new coach. Retooling of the new spin-off series went even further, adding a new cast member, Dean Geyer who will play Brody, a sexy junior at NYADA. Dianna Agron and Harry Shum Jr. are set to return as recurring cast members and many cast members from Glee will return as recurring guest-stars, such as Darren Criss and Heather Morris who play Blaine Anderson and Brittany Pierce, respectively.
If cross-over events are needed, Don't Stop Believin' cast members will go to the Glee set, and film all scenes there.
